Vyv’s Sidequests Guide
Vyv’s sidequests will be available after completing the tour A Stroll for Two with Iris during Chapter 3.

The Perfect Landscape
Unlock Condition: Complete A Stroll for Two during Chapter 3
Reward: 1,000 EXP, 5,000 Gil
Talk to Vyv, then head to the two waypoints. One is to the north of the Disc of Cauthess while the other is by the chocobo racing courses. Talk to Vyv afterwards.
An Eye for Islands
Unlock Condition: Complete The Perfect Landscape
Reward: 1,500 EXP, 7,500 Gil
Talk to Vyv. Then, head to Galdin Quay and take a photograph. Return to Vyv afterwards.
Aftermath of the Astral War
Unlock Condition: Complete An Eye for Islands
Reward: 2,000 EXP, 10,000 Gil
Vyv will ask you to get two shots of Taelpar Crag. One is from the lookout tower close to Tollhends Stronghold. The other is from a bridge to the east of Old Lestallum. After taking both pictures, return to Vyv.
Of Gods and Kings
Unlock Condition: Complete Aftermath of the Astral War
Reward: 2,500 EXP, 12,500 Gil
Talk to Vyv, then head to the designated area southeast of Duscae. Take a picture of the gate of the Royal Tomb, and then the Tomb itself. Return to Vyv afterwards.
Vyv’s Volcanic Inspiration
Unlock Condition: Of Gods and Kings
Reward: 3,000 EXP, 15,000 Gil
Talk to Vyv, then head for the Rock of Ravatogh. Go up the slope and make it to the lava waterfall (the long dead-end to the west of the map). Be sure to watch your health as the heat will continuously damage you and your party. Defeat the Thunderocs along the path (which are weak to Fire magic and Firearms). When you reach the top of the slope, take a picture at the photo spot. Return to Vyv afterwards.
A Place to Call Home
Unlock Conditions: Complete Vyv’s Volcanic Inspiration
Reward: 3,500 EXP, 17,500 Gil, Time photo filter
Head to the hill overlooking Insomnia where chapter 1 was concluded. After taking a photograph, return to Vyv.
The Pen is Mightier than the Sword
Unlock Condition: Complete A Place to Call Home
Reward: 4,000 EXP, 20,000 Gil
Vyv will ask you to take three photos of imperial bases in Lucis. The first is Formout Garrison in Leide (close to the Prairie Outpost). The second is Tollhends Stronghold in Cleigne (north of Old Lestallum). The last is Perpetouss Keep in Duscae (southwest of the Cauthess Rest Area). Each individual picture is part of a specific subquest that needs to be selected manually in the main menu to activate its waypoint. Be prepared to engage imperial troops in each area. Report to Vyv when you have completed taking all the pictures.
The Cursed Canvas
Unlock Condition: Complete The Pen is Mightier than the Sword, reach Chapter 9
Reward: 5,000 EXP, 25,000 Gil
Talk to Vyv, then head to Altissia. Head to Maagho and start the A Lost Painting hunting quest. Then, head to the waypoint in the basement of the Secretary’s Estate. At the basement, Prompto will take a picture of the painting. It is not important to complete the hunt here, as long as you take the picture. Return to Lucis via the Call Umbra feature while resting at the Leville. Return to Vyv afterwards.
I finished the main story and started the cursed canvas afterwards and now I don’t know how I can go to altissia again. Is it even possible to go back to altissia?

Any place with a bed gives you the option to call umbra and you can travel from the dog.
