The Worlds Quarterfinals have ended on a high note with a lot of upsets and comebacks in all of the games. With this in mind, it’s time to analyze the four teams who have qualified in the worlds semifinals, and assess who will be advancing to the finals.

There are four teams who have qualified, namely, SK Telecom T1, Samsung Galaxy, Royal Never Give Up, and Team WE. China and Korea are the only two regions who will appear in the worlds semifinals.

Worlds Semifinals Day 1 – SK Telecom T1 vs. Royal Never Give Up

Both teams have a goal in mind coming into the semifinals; SKT T1 will defend the Summoner’s Cup while Royal Never Give Up’s Uzi plans on winning it all this year after finishing second in two World Championships. Both teams are hungry to capture a win, but one team stands out in this matchup – SKT T1.

The reason that SKT T1 has a bigger chance of winning the series is they are a more cohesive team, giving them an advantage in team fights and mid-late game. They are known to never falter even in dire situations where they are behind (A good example of this is how they overcome a 1-2 deficit to advance to the semifinals.)

Despite SKT winning it all in our prediction, Royal Never Give Up will at least win a game in the series. Uzi is a very strong ADC right now, and might capitalize on the under-performing bot lane of SKT T1 to notch a win. It will be a high intensity game especially in the bot lane and the jungle matchup of Peanut and MLXG.

Winner: SKT T1, 3-1.

Worlds Semifinals Day 2 -Team WE vs. Samsung Galaxy

This is a very hard prediction, considering that both had a good outing in their respective quarterfinals matchup. But it’s worth pointing out that Samsung Galaxy had defeated Longzhu Gaming, the team who was heavily favored to win Worlds.

This will be a close game for both teams, but Samsung Galaxy has the bigger chance to win it all. Team WE might be the better team in terms of playstyle, but Samsung Galaxy defeating Longzhu is a testament that they might make repeat another upset against the Chinese favorites.

Winner: SSG, 3-2.
