Breloom is a Grass/Fighting Type pokemon that can do high amounts of physical damage. Unlike most grass types, Breloom focuses more on being a physical sweeper and barely has any special attacks. What makes up for it is its speed and its attack power.

Technician Type

Name Description
Nature Adamant/Jolly
Ability Technician
EffortValues Attack 252 Speed 252
Held Item Focus Sash/Life Orb
Required Move List Mach Punch/Bullet Seed/Rock Tomb/Spore

Open the battle using Mach Punch. Since Breloom has the Technician ability, he’ll be able to deal a lot of damage using Mach Punch. To add more to the damage, use Spore with its 100% accuracy. When the enemy’s asleep, Breloom can continue its attack using Bullet Seed and Rock Tomb.

Poison Heal Type

Name Description
Nature Jolly
Ability Poison Heal
Effort Value SPEED 252
Choose between HP or ATK
Item Held Toxic Orb
Required Move List Low Sweep or Rock Tomb with Substitute/Spore

When exploiting Breloom’s Poison Heal Ability, have it hold a Toxic Orb. For every tick, Breloom will heal in order to keep it alive. After that, you can use either Substitute or Spore to prevent it from taking too much damage. Since the pokemon will be asleep, have Breloom attack with Low Sweep or Rock Tomb. Both these attacks reduce the overall speed of the pokemon by one rank.

Choice Scarf Type

Name Description
Nature Jolly/Adamant
Ability Technician
Effort Value Attack 252 Speed 252
Item Held Choice Scarf
Required Move List Bullet Seed/Superpower

To compensate for the lowered speed, the techniques have to be hard hitting. So, what you can use is the Bullet Seed in combination with Technician. While Bullet Seed has a low damage output, the Technician ability will raise the damage inflicted. The Choice Scarf may lower the speed but at 252, the effects won’t be detrimental. Also, Breloom can rely on Superpower to deal heavy damage to Steel Types and Ice-types to help bring them down.
