Using Lilligant
Lilligant has high base Sp. Attack and Speed. Since it is a pure Grass-Type, it has several weaknesses which makes it frail.
It has the Own Tempo ability which prevents confusion after all the consecutive turns of an active Petal Dance have taken effect.
A recommended strategy is to use multiple Quiver Dance buffs to further increase its Speed while also patching up its Sp. Defense and Sp. Attack.

Recommended Moves | Quiver Dance/Giga Drain or Energy Ball |
- As a dedicated Special Attacker, it should prioritize gaining a turn or two to use Quiver Dance to boost its firepower.
- Leaf Storm and Petal Dance may be used as alternative STAB moves to deal damage.
- Sleep Powder and Teeter Dance are other recommended options to allow its teammates to switch-in safely when the opponent has a type advantage over them.
Countering Lilligant
Its defense is weak which makes it prey to a number of Physical attackers that have moves that are super-effective against it.
Recommended Pokemon to bring are those that are immune to Lilligant’s STAB moves such as Pokemon with the Sap Sipper ability, and those that have type resistance to Grass such as Grass/Poison-Types.
Be wary of other moves such as Hyper Beam and certain Hidden Power types that will be launched after it has used a turn or two of Quiver Dance.
