Wrecked Ship Walkthrough [Resident Evil 7/ RE7]

This is a detailed walkthrough for the Wrecked Ship in Resident Evil 7.

Awakening at The Wrecked Ship

The beginning of the Wrecked Ship area puts you in control of Mia. Proceed to the path ahead until you find Ethan. He will be taken away by an entity very similar to the molded.

Once Ethan has been taken away, follow him. Go inside the ship and go deeper until you are in a hall with many barred doors. Proceed further and up into a flight of stairs.

Once at the top of the stairs, you will come up to a wide room. A cutscene will ensue.

After the cutscene, follow the path into the duct until the path forks. Take the one on the right and follow it to get an Antique Coin. Continue along the duct to come to another level of the ship. From here, you will find doors near the end of the corridor. Head to the last door of the corridor and climb up the stairs for another cutscene. Afterwards, pursue the figure along the corner and to the ship again. Then, go up the ladder and go down into the room partly submerged in water.

From here, explore the flooded area along the left of the ladder. You will find an Antique Coin here. Make your way out to find the dark figure again and follow it to a locked door that oozes with black goo. Leave the door for now as you will need a fuse. Further into the corridor is a four-legged Molded. Since you don’t have any weapons now, avoid it and go the opposite way and head for the stairs. There will be a door to its right that goes into a room with an Herb in the cupboard. Then, make your way to the door to the left of the set of stairs but be careful as an enemy will be nearby. You can proceed into the laundry room and collect some Chem fluid in the bin. Around the back end of the room is a General purpose fuse, though a molded will be in the area.

Immediately collect the Fuse then race through the door, seal it immediately before it catches up on you. Ignore the door left of the Laundry Room, and proceed to the door leading to the stairwell. Enter and ascend it, until you reach 3F. Get to the Security Room and a cutscene will ensue. Pick up the Old Videotape and plug it in the VHS Player.

Videotape

A cutscene will show events from a flashback. Fortunately, you will be armed to the teeth by the time you regain control. Investigate the side of the desk to obtain Machine Gun Ammo and a File.

Exit the room then the Echo Bracelet will inform you when Eveline is nearby. Ignore the Elevator for now, and proceed ahead to reach the crew quarters. Retrieve some Supplements and an Herb. Take note of the fastened cabinet before you exit.

 

Back in the hall, go through the double doors, inside you will find the Dining Room. Obtain the Machine Gun Ammo by the corner, then examine the chair for a Chem Fluid, finally check the shelf for some Supplements. Remember the ventilation hole which you can pass through. Back at the Dining Room, crouch and pass through. Examine the sink for an Herb, then return to the Main Hall. Turn left and take out the Molded, then squeeze through the elevator. Call the elevator then prepare for another Molded that will spawn.

When you arrive at S2, take the hall heading down. Exterminate the Molded that will appear by the left alcove. Examine the dead end for some Herb and Machine Gun Ammo, then enter the door. Point your gun to its head line up some headshots, when it has perished, look around by the opposite end for 2 Remote Bombs.

When you arrive at the Engine Room, plant one Remote Bomb, keep distance and detonate it on the Molded when it slips down. Investigate the both left and right edges of the room for some Chem Fluid, and additional ammunition. Take the stairs then reach for the door, a cutscene will occur. Examine the back of the stepladder for a Chem Fluid then get through the unlocked door. Break the crate to obtain 3 Corrosives, and a Chem Fluid.

Return to the door, a cutscene will follow. Backtrack to find additional Molded have spawned in the two-floor room, take them out with the Remote Bomb before they catch up. Race through the stairs to arrive at a hall. Use the Corrosive on the first door to your left, inside you will find several useful items.

Get to the next hall to find that it caught fire however there will be more Molded that spawns here, lure them with a planted Remote Bomb to finish them off. Follow Eveline for a cutscene.

Head back to Alan to find that he has disappeared, read the note that was left. Go around the hall, and take a quick stop at the locked cabinets, examine both the Crew Quarters’ and the hall’s to find 2 Remote Bombs from each. Enter the Dining Room then climb through the window, then ascend the stairs to reach 3F. Rejoin with Alan for a cutscene.

A cutscene will ensue. Enter the Control Room, then interact with the Computer for another cutscene. Proceed to the hall to conclude the VHS Tape Segment.

Awakening at the Wrecked Ship (Continued)

When the tape ends, continue to pursue Ethan. Enter the room at the end, then examine the left drawer to obtain a Chem Fluid. Look at the box near the corner to obtain another File. You may also head to the Control Room where you used the laptop during the flash back, to obtain: Herb, Machine Gun ammunition, some Chem Fluid and Gunpowder from the beside the laptop, toolbox, locker and middle drawer respectively.

Head back to the elevator shaft and reach 4F using the ladder, to arrive to the bridge. Examine the computer to find a familiar face displayed on the screen to indicate your next destination. Before you exit, investigate the left side of the bridge for Gunpowder, then check the opposite side for the Remote Bomb. Reach the opposite side of the bridge to get to the Captain’s Cabin. Enter then take note of the locked cabinet, then take the Lug Wrench.

Before you return to the Elevator Shaft, examine the lockers for an herb. Investigate the barricaded stairwell to obtain a Remote Bomb, then look by the railing to find a Mr. Everywhere figurine.

Head below

Unlock the hatch in the Elevator Shaft by selecting the Lug Wrench then head to the area between 2F and 1F. Examine the side near the lacking parts for another File.
Exit 2F then check near a collapsed bench for a Survival Knife. Turn right to the Guest Room, then sneak past the Molded. You will enter a Safe Room, where a File is obtainable if you haven’t taken it yet. Pick up the Corrosive inside, then take the Handgun Ammunition beside the bed.

When you return to the Hall, the Molded might have run the other way, check the crate to obtain a Remote Bomb. Avoid entering the Dining Room and Bunk Room to be safe. You may proceed to the Sick Bay.

To obtain the Machine Gun, find the locked door beside the Bunk Room. Select the Corrosive to unlock it, then get the Captain’s Cabin Locker Key, as well as Remote Bombs. Check the white table to obtain a Strong Chem Fluid. Return to the Elevator Shaft to get to the 4F Bridge. Be wary of the 4-Legged Molded and use the Remote Bomb to take it out.

Sneak past the other Molded, and infiltrate the Captain’s Quarters to unlock the locker, revealing not only the Remote Bomb but also the P19 Machine Gun.
Equip a weapon and set the others with the designated hotkey of your choice. You may return to 2F and proceed to sweep the area, this allows you to obtain Gunpowder, and some Chem Fluid inside the microwave. There’s not much to explore for the Dining Room however the Kitchen houses a Machine Gun Ammo. Whereas the Lounge has an Herb if you examine the couch, in addition to a locked vault. Solve the puzzle beside the vault to unlock the safe, it will reward you with 3 Corrosives.

Investigate the door close to the Bunk Room which directs you to a passage contained on 3F. Check the orange toolbox for a Lockpick, grab the Remote Bombs.

Before descending, examine the Mr. Everywhere figurine past the ladder.

When you return to 3F, enter the Control Room using the Corrosive. Try to avoid confronting the Molded, you may however finish it off using a Remote Bomb if needed. Take the hall, past a dilapidated portion from a familiar excursion, then head into the Showers. Proceed to the Sick Bay, turn right and take the Chem Fluid and Strong Chem Fluid. By the time you approach to take the Cable, a Fat Molded will spawn. Immediately obtain the Cable as fast as you can, then take out the Fat Molded. You may attempt to do it using an equipped Remote Bomb, you have to weigh your options as it has its downsides. When the coast is clear, examine the cabinet on the other side, it houses a Corrosive.

Next objective is to get to 1F to obtain the last part – the Power Source. When you descend the elevator, quickly take out your Remote Bomb, this should make quick work of the 4-Legged Molded.

You may access the Maintenance Room to arrive at the map’s Safe Room. Examine inside to receive a 2-round loaded MPM Handgun.

You may opt to explore two areas before you continue with the main objective: First, by breaking the crate inside the Storeroom, you can obtain some Gunpowder, then enter the Bunk Room to find a File; second, enter the next room to find another File, some Psychostimulants beside it, then destroy the nearby crate to reveal a First Aid Med; and finally for the last room, it is worth trading one Corrosive to open the Rec Room, as it trades one for another Corrosive in addition to a Backpack, Machine Gun Ammo, an Herb, and two Remote Bombs.

Approach the door then take the Fuse, enter the elevator and select S2. There will be a cutscene. Get to the hall, then take out the Molded clinging on the ceiling. Head to the alcove for a Strong Chem Fluid. Be prepared to take out another Molded by the corner. When you’re about to exit, check the left side for an additional Remote Bomb, then examine the cabinet and retrieve some Handgun Ammo.

Enter the room nearby, plant a Remote Bomb to take out the 4-Legged Molded that will intercept from the other side. Examine the Storage to your right for additional Remote Bombs, and a stash of Machine Gun and Handgun Ammo to add to your arsenal. Enter Engine Room 1, examine the left side to find more Machine Gun Ammo can be found here in addition to another Remote Bomb. Take caution as you reach the pass beneath the stairs since there’s another Molded approaching. By the time you ascend the stairs, another Fat Molded will intercept, the best way to handle it is to stick near the towering pillar to cover from a distance, then snipe him whenever it ceases to expel acid. Collect additional ammunition from the crates, then proceed to the hall nearby.

Descend to the connecting hall. Use the Corrosive on the locked vault to reveal an Antique Coin. Head to the Cargo Bay and use the last Corrosive, enter then take two Remote Bombs. Enter Engine Room 2 to conclude the Wrecked Ship Segment.
