Classic and New RuneScape Coming to Mobile
Heads up, Runescape fans. Your favorite online browser game will now be on your mobile devices this winter and 2018.
According to their official site, the classic and old school version of the game will be released on mobile and tablet this winter. The newer version will then follow sometime next year.
The mobile version will be optimized for the smaller screen. The creators also promised that it will be a “cross-platform play with the desktop.” meaning you can seamlessly switch from PC and mobile while you are playing.
RuneScape, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Jagex, is a popular browser game that started in 2001. The game had 200 million players at one point and was recognized by the Guinness World of Records as the “world’s largest MMORPG game in the world.”
