Far Cry 5 Wiki (Walkthrough and Strategy Guide)

This is a Far Cry 5 Wiki and Strategy Guide page containing walkthroughs, strategy guides, tips and tricks for the new action first-person shooter game developed and published by Ubisoft for the Playsation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. It is set for release on February 27, 2018.

Game Overview

The Far Cry series has been well-known as one of the most popular first-person shooter franchises in video games, giving rise to several sequels and spinoff titles since its debut in 2004. Far Cry is known for giving players a unique action experience in exotic open-world environments, among them Micronesia, the Himalayas, Africa and Central Europe.

Far Cry 5 will be the eleventh installment to the long-running series. Announced in May 2017, the game takes place in present-day Montana in the fictional Hope County. Players follow the story of a sheriff’s deputy who unknowingly becomes caught up in a dangerous clash between a sinister cult called Eden’s Gate and the resident of Hope County who claim that their loved ones have been kidnapped or killed by the cult. Eden’s Gate is led by a preacher named Joseph Seed who foretells of an “inevitable apocalypse” and vows to lead the people to salvation.

As an open-world title, players will be able to explore the various locations of the game using different vehicles such as muscle cars, all-terrain vehicles, boats and planes. A recruitment system similar to Far Cry 2‘s Buddy System will allow players to recruit locals in the county to fight alongside them, though each potential ally will have to be convinced first and vary in terms of personalities. The Fang for Hire System introduced in Far Cry Primal will also be included in Far Cry 5. This lets players tame wild animals that can also assist him or her in combat.
