Game Overview
The long-running Lego series of games continue to deliver a fun and light-hearted adventure experience based on various popular media, most notably movies. Among these are the largely popular superhero-themed games from the Marvel and DC universes which provided an often humorous storyline involving a wide cast of characters.
The Lego Marvel category of games have consistently managed to craft the most recent Marvel films into a world of connected Lego blocks, and the characters themselves rendered as Lego people. Such works like X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers have all been transported into the Lego world and have somewhat stayed true to their respective movie narratives while adding some fun twists here and there.
Announced as the latest title in the series of Lego Marvel games, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 will feature characters from recent and upcoming films such as Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther. Of course, the cast will joined by certain characters who have not made any appearance in the Lego games up to this point, so fans will be in for some surprises. Among those which have been confirmed in promotional material are Spider-Man 2099, Hulk (Thor: Ragnarok), Spider-Gwen, Black Panther and Captain Marvel.

Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 is set to feature a wide selection of playable characters similar to the first game. Marvel works will be included in the title, among them the most recent Guardians of the Galaxy 2 film released on April 19, 2017. Upcoming films such as Thor: Ragnarok will be also be included. Below are some of the characters that will make their formal appearance in the game.
- Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 marks the first playable debut of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Players will be able to take control of Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Gamora and Drax as they travel through dimensions of the Lego world.
- Spider-Man 2099
Spider-Man 2099 is expected to make a formal debut in the upcoming title as well. Though not in the original game, the character has been featured as a Mod that other players can use in the game. Spider-Gwen will also be joining the cast in this title.
- Hulk (Thor: Ragnarok)
Hulk’s appearance in the upcoming film Thor: Ragnarok is also confirmed to be in Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. In this title, Hulk appears wearing a gladiator’s armor and wields a gigantic mace as seen in the movie’s trailer.
