Game Difficulty Guide for Metaphor: ReFantazio
Metaphor: ReFantazio has five difficulty modes, which the game allows you to choose depending on your preference and skill level. The difficulty modes are as follows: Storyteller, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Regicide.
Regicide is the hardest difficulty mode, but it is not unlocked automatically and may require you to finish the game with the other difficulty first.

Can You Change Difficulty?
Can be changed anytime.
The difficulty mode can be changed anytime from the System menu. Simply open the System menu and select “Change Difficulty,” then choose the mode that you wish to set for playing the game.
Does not penalize players for changing difficulty mode.
Players will not incur any penalties for changing the difficulty mode they selected at the start of the game. Thus, you are free to adjust the difficulty should you have a change of heart.
Which Difficulty Should You Choose at the Start of the Game?
Start with Normal difficulty.
Choosing Normal difficulty is advisable when playing the game for the first time, as it provides an opportunity to experience the game’s standard settings and challenges. However, if Normal proves too challenging, you can easily adjust the difficulty in the game’s System menu.
