About the Team

I’m Taku, the operator of the game walkthrough site Samurai Gamers.

I’ve loved games since childhood, and from the moment I became aware of the world around me until now, I’ve been enjoying games almost every day. The reason I decided to create a game walkthrough site was that when me and my friends started a company, we wanted to turn something we were good at into a job.

First, we launched a game walkthrough site in Japanese. As this was our first walkthrough site, the results at that time were not great. However, we gained various experiences, such as taking on outsourced work from other game walkthrough sites, which we now apply to running Samurai Gamers.

We launched an English game walkthrough site while doing outsourced work for other companies’ walkthrough sites. At the time, there were very few sites in the English-speaking regions that offered walkthroughs for Japanese games, and even those that existed only covered major titles. So, we decided to create an English walkthrough site focused on Japanese games. We cover a wide range of game titles, from major to minor ones, especially those that are widely popular in Japan but relatively well-known overseas.

When we decided to launch an international site, we chose to base our operations in the Philippines, owing to its proximity to Japan and the high proficiency of English among professionals there. Currently, our team consists of six members: two Japanese (one of whom lives in the Philippines) and four Filipinos, and we create daily game walkthrough articles.

 Wolfknight here, a walkthrough writer for the team. As with Taku-san, my platform of choice is console. Among my favorite titles are character action games such as Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and Ninja Gaiden. We hope readers drop by our site frequently!
