This is an Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Wiki and Strategy Guide page containing walkthroughs, strategy guides and tips and tricks for the new combat flight simulation game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. It will be released in 2018.
Game Overview
The Ace Combat series is one of the most successful flight action video game franchises today. It is known for its emphasis on fast-paced aircraft combat, as well as offering compelling storyline throughout each title in the series. The first Ace Combat game was released for the Sony Playstation in 1993 and was followed by numerous other subsequent titles featuring its trademark fighter pilot action.
Majority of the Ace Combat games have featured mostly fictional characters, locations and events but allow the player to choose and pilot a wide selection of real-world fighter aircraft, as well as some conceptual model variants. The games have continued to push for the realism of combat piloting, eventually including certain flight mechanics such as runway take-off, landing, and even midair refueling.
The latest entry to the long-running flight simulation game, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was announced during the Playstation Experience 2015 event. While originally planned only for the Playstation 4, an official trailer released in January 2017 confirmed that it will also be available for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be a sequel to Ace Combat 6: Fire of Liberation which was released exclusively for the Xbox 360. The upcoming title will be using Unreal Engine 4 to render its environment and aircraft models as the game’s main graphics engine.
