How to play Private Beta

Call of Duty: World War 2 recently came out with a private beta. Users have already enjoyed the video game over the weekend. If you are tragically not one of those people, never fear, because there’s still an upcoming weekend for you to enjoy Call of Duty: World War 2.

Here’s how you activate and play the play Private Beta version of Call of Duty: World War 2:

Step 1: Platform

According to Activision’s FAQ, COD:WW2’s Private Beta will be available on PS4 and Xbox One for now. Other platforms, including PC, are expected to be released in the future. This means that for the next weekend, only Ps4 and Xbox One users will be able to enjoy WW2’s private beta.

Step 2: Purchasing

To play COD:WW2’s Private Beta you’ll have to pre-purchase the video game from the PlayStation or Xbox Live Stores, or participating retailers. The pre-order is around $99.99 USD for Ps4 (PsStore, Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop), $99.99 USD for Xbox Store users (Microsoft), and $100.00 USD for GameStop users. PS4 users can save up that one cent for something else, I guess?

If you use a retailer, you’ll need a ACCESS CODE to activate the private beta. If, however, you have purchased via PlayStation Store, or Xbox Live, you’ll automatically have the Beta.

Step 3: Downloading

Note: Pre-orders using the PlayStation Store or the Xbox One Store will be able to download it immediately.

  1. You can already receive your Beta Token upon purchasing the Ps4 version, but Xbox One’s token will be given by September 1 at 10 AM Pacific Time.
  2. Make sure your console has at least 17 GB.
  3. Head over to the PlayStation or Xbox One store and select Redeem Codes or Use a Code.
  4. Enter the 25-character code. Select confirm afterwards.
