Gran Turismo Sport prepping for PS5

While the Gran Turismo Sport game already looks amazing and dazzling, the developers mentioned that the graphics are not at their fullest. When the developers created the game, they already had prepared the game to appear in the Playstation 5 (PS5). The graphics are increasingly stunning with a high poly-count that it also appears in reality. With the Gran Turismo Sport being one of the few racing games with a VR, Polyphony is expecting for Gran Turismo Sport to survive in the long run.

“It takes six months to create a single car,” Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony, said in an interview with Finder.com.au. “It’s over-specced for PS4 Pro. So we are building for future versions of the console rather than the one we see today.”

As of now, the extremely detailed cars put the current consoles to shame. Rumour has it that the game features at least 177 cars, 27 race tracks that are spread across 19 locations. Because it’s the first racing game to support a VR, the current technology may not be able flesh out the full graphics of the game.

Although it does sound like a heavy game, it isn’t. In comparison to Gran Turismo 6, 177 cars is nothing compared to the former’s  whopping 1,197 cars. However, if the 177 cars are meant to serve as the ground work for a more gorgeous-looking game then, it’s a minor setback in comparison to revamping the whole game altogether. But as of now, nobody knows when they can truly see the full fleshed graphics of Gran Turismo Sport.

However, the graphics isn’t all that’s there. Unlike the first six Gran Turismogames, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile plans to recognize some events that will appear in-game. Assuming that the player has a real driver’s license, he/she can earn one and participate in real-world events.

Check out below some of the cars that have been released:
