What is the Glider Ability?
Glider is a special ability available to Engineer class characters in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This skill lets a character reach areas that would normally be too hard for other classes to reach using normal means. Certain collectibles and hidden items can only be acquired in such locations, making the Glider ability indispensable throughout the game.
Clear Episode VII – The Force Awakens: First Order of Business (Rey Story Route)
The Engineer Glider ability is unlocked very early in the game. You can obtain the skill immediately after starting a new playthrough if you choose to begin with Episode VII – The Force Awakens (Rey Story Route).
Which Episode Should You Start With?
Unlocking the Glider Ability in Episode VII
To get the Glider ability, you need to clear the mission First Order of Business during Episode VII – The Force Awakens (Rey’s story route). Afterwards, progress through the episode until you are asked to head to a crashed Star Destroyer and scavenge it for parts. During the course of the objective, you will automatically acquire the Glider ability which can then be used by any of your Engineer class characters onward.
