Squad Battle Tips

Use Fae Sight to determine a monster’s strength or level.

Gallica’s Fae Sight allows you to determine the strength of monsters in the field. It is recommended to use Fae Sight first before approaching monsters in order to determine whether to engage in a Squad Battle or Fast Battle. If the monster’s danger level is indicated as yellow or red, use Squad Battle to defeat it.

Attack unaware enemies to deplete their break gauge instantly.

Sneak attacks work in the game as well. Attacking an enemy without being detected will give a great chance of instantly depleting the break gauge of an enemy.

Attack the monster in the field until it is stunned before activating Squad Battle.

You can stun the monster before even the Squad Battle starts by attacking it in the field multiple times. Doing so will give an advantage in the first turn of the Squad Battle.

Battling stunned enemies will allow a party member to perform an initial attack.

After stunning an enemy and proceeding to Squad Battle, a party member will perform an advantageous initial attack. This attack will damage all enemies before any of the participants in the battlefield even takes a turn.

Press the L3 button or Left Analog Stick to reset a battle.

If you find yourself in trouble or have no chance of winning, you can reset the battle by pressing the L3 button or Left Analog Stick. This allows you to apply different strategies to win the battle or prevent yourself from making a crucial mistake.

Utilize the Party Formations effectively.

The formation of your party affects the damage that members deal and receive, depending on their positions. Members positioned in the front row will inflict more melee damage, while those in the back row will deal less melee damage but also sustain less damage from enemy attacks.
