April Strategy Summary (Key Points)
- Learn the basic mechanics of the game.
- Clear Yukiko’s Castle (TV World Dungeon).

Learn the basic mechanics of the game.
When the game starts in April, try to learn the mechanics of daily activities, Social Links, the battle system, clearing TV World dungeons, and the basics of game progression in Persona 3 Golden.
The rest of the game will proceed in roughly the same way so be sure to familiarize yourself with the game’s mechanics.
Shadow Yosuke
The first story boss (Shadow Yosuke) will appear on 4/15.
Have the main character use Zio on the boss to take advantage of his weakness to Elec. You should also observe the boss’ actions and defend at the right time during the fight.
Yukiko’s Castle and Shadow Chie Battle.
On 4/17, you will be able to enter the TV World dungeon Yukiko’s Castle. Once you reach the second floor, a boss battle against Shadow Chie will occur.
The boss will use Mazionga which Yosuke is weak to. When you see the attack coming (indicated by the message), have him defend so he does not get knocked down.
After the battle, you will go back to the real world (you will not be able to clear this dungeon until the next day).
Clear Yukiko’s Castle (TV World Dungeon).
From 4/18 onwards, you will now be able to clear Yukiko’s Castle.
You will encounter bosses on the 5th and 8th floors. Avenger Knight appears on the 5th floor while Shadow Yukiko can be fought on the 8th. Prepare in advance before heading to these locations.
The deadline for rescuing Yukiko and clearing Yukiko’s Castle is on 4/29.
The deadline for completing each TV World dungeon is on the next day when it rains. For Yukiko’s Castle, this is on 4/29.
If you do not manage to clear Yukiko’s Castle by 4/29, you will get a Game Over. When this happens, the game will restart from a week earlier.
Get 1 gem.
The Shadows in Yukiko’s Castle can sometimes drop Iolite and other gems.
Be sure to get at least one gem here. You will need it to unlock the weapon exchange at Snack Bar Shijimiya which is only open at night in the Central Shopping District.
Join a club as soon as possible.
On 4/19, you will be able to join the sports clubs. The cultural clubs, meanwhile, become available on 4/25.
Joining these clubs will require you to make two more choices which affect the Social Link events that occur within each of them.
A Warning on Social Link Rank When Joining the Basketball Club
If you joined the basketball club, holiday invitations will stop occurring when your Strength Social Link rank is at 5 or 6.
Be careful of reaching the mentioned ranks on 5/29 and 8/19 as you will no longer be able to get certain books that are normally obtainable via holiday invitations.
To avoid missing out on these items, you should join the soccer club instead.
Join the school band club to easily increase certain Social Stats.
Matsunaga Ayane (Sun Social Link) from the school band club will help increase you Understanding and Expression Social Stats.
Certain Social Links only become available when you reach specific levels in various Social Stats. If you want to increase these parameters as quickly as possible, consider joining the school band club.
Accept quests as soon as they become available.
You can accept quests from characters with a speech bubble icon above their heads during free time.
Additionally, some items required in quests may only become available once you start them. Accepting quests may also cause the items dropped by enemies to change to allow you to acquire target items.
Some quests may also have a time limit so it is recommend to actively accept quests whenever they become available.
Start fishing as soon as possible.
By following the steps below, you can unlock fishing as early as possible. You can also visit the shrine to find a woman wearing a white kimono. Giving her fish she requests will allow you to obtain various gems.
The gems you get for exchanging fish with the woman can be used to trade for weapons at Snack Bar. Because of this, try to unlock fishing as soon as possible so you can start farming for fish to trade at any time.
How to Unlock Fishing
| 1 | Give sodas to the bug-catcher boy at the shrine during the day to get Tatsuhime Ladybugs. You will not be able to get it this way after 6/4, though you still obtain it by catching bugs. |
