Permanent Events Guide for Persona 4 Golden (P4G)
New Game Plus (NG+) lets you complete everything you missed.
Persona 4 Golden (P4G) allows you to begin a second playthrough via New Game Plus (NG+) that carries over certain elements after the ending. Because of this, it is possible to do the content you missed during your first run.
However, since the main story is very long and you will likely spend around 80 hours per playthrough, it is recommend to be aware of the following elements.
Permanent Elements
- Main Character’s Name
- Events with Limited Time
- Social Link Events with Limited Time
- Quests with Limited Time
Main Character’s Name
The main character’s name cannot be changed once you set it in the beginning of the game.
Persona 4 Golden’s story is long so it is recommend to decide on the main character’s name carefully.
Events with Limited Time
Events set for each day generally do not occur again later.
This is especially true for holiday events where you may receive books and other prizes so try not to miss them as much as possible.
Social Link Events with Limited Time
Most Social Link events will occur until the very end of the first playthrough, but there are some exceptions. Among the most notable of these are Adachi and Marie’s Social Link events which have limited time. If you do not reach the required Social Link Ranks once the game progresses to their deadlines, it will not be possible to level up Adachi or Marie’s Social Links afterwards.
Adachi’s Social Link event, in particular, will occur very early on in the story so it is recommended to try reach the maximum Social Link Rank with him as fast as possible.

Quests with Limited Time
Some quests also have a limited time.
Note that if the limited-time quest is not completed until its deadline, it will not be possible to finish it.
