Persona 5: Phantom X’s Second Closed Beta Test in China, the “Awakening Test”, to start on August 18, 2023

Perfect World Games and Black Wings Game Studio have announced the second Closed Beta Test (CBT) for Persona 5: The Phantom X. The second CBT, dubbed “Awakening Test,” will start running between August 18-25, 2023.

How to register for the Persona 5: Phantom X Second Closed Beta?

Registration will be open till August 14th through the game’s Official Website or via TapTap.

Both options require a Chinese phone number. In addition, in order to apply using TapTap, you must also have a TapTap UID.

What are the new features of the Persona 5: Phantom X Second Closed Beta?

Among the newest features added to the second CBT are new characters namely Shun Kanou and Li Yaoling.

Also, the original Persona 5 cast consisting of the Phantom Thieves will still appear as playable gacha party members in Phantom X.

New Characters

Shun Kanou (CN: Soy)

During the second closed beta test, your team will be joined by Shun Kanou. He had previously appeared as an NPC in the first CBT. You will, however, be able to command him this time as a Persona user.

Li Yaoling (CN: ?)

Li Yaoling, a mysterious Chinese transfer student, will also be introduced to you. She’s also a Persona user, as seen by her All-Out Attack cut-in.
