Atlus Japan recently conducted a presentation about the upcoming Japanese version release of Persona 5: The Phantom X (Persona 5: Phantom of the Night, P5X). The presentation was held last September 25, 2024, during the Tokyo Game Show 2024.

Among the major features revealed was the planned first Closed Beta Test (CBT) of the free-to-play Gacha RPG, which will be available for iOS, Android, and PC through Steam.

Two returning locations and two new locations were highlighted in the presentation

The second palace, Miyazawa’s Palace, was showcased minimally in the presentation.

Japanese Version First Closed Beta Test Registration

Online registrations have begun last September 25th (Wednesday) through Persona 5: The Phantom X Japan’s Official Website. The pre-registration will end on October 6th (Sunday).

Only Japanese residents are urged to participate with the first CBT. Each platform (iOS, Android, and Steam) will only accept 3,000 participants. A lottery will be used to choose the participants if each platform reached over 3,000 applications.

For the official launch of the Japanese version of P5X, users can pre-register through these methods:

As of writing, the pre-registration campaign had already drawn over 50,000 participants. On P5X’s official Japan launch, players will receive a bonus of 10 Gacha tickets or pulls.
