Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to come out next year (2018), but anticipation already begins to build as fans yearn for more details on the game’s storyline and features. Now, there are reports of a Rockstar Games insider who’s apparently revealed some very interesting information about the highly-anticipated open-world action title.

An alleged Rockstar Games insider has claimed that Red Dead Redemption 2‘s main character will be Jack Marston, the son of the original game’s protagonist John. The game will take place three years after the events of the first game as Jack goes on a journey to discover what his late father had left behind in his journal. Jack will eventually encounter some of his father’s old acquaintances, most likely from the first game, who recall the days when the legendary cowboy still rode the lands.
It was also revealed by the insider that Red Dead Redemption 2 will allow players to explore at least two large-scale towns, as well as some remote locations all around the map. When compared to the other massive Rockstar title Grand Theft Auto 5, Read Dead Redemption 2‘s game world will be bigger, which is quite impressive in that regard.
Heists will also be included in the myriad of missions available in the game. In terms of online gameplay, Red Dead Redemption 2 is said to be “very economy driven”. Players will be able to put their items up for sale or for trading with other players. There will also be a selection of unique mounts to obtain, among them zebras and buffaloes, apart from the usual stable of horses players have been accustomed to. Wagons will also be customizable, allowing people to deck them out with various weapons.
