Ways to Earn Money
Win battles.
You get money simply by defeating enemies in battle. Simply going through the game’s main story will net you a decent amount of gold to purchase useful items along the way. You will, however, want to turn to other sources of money if you want to deck out your party with the best equipment.
Open chests.
Gold can also be obtained from chests found in various fields and dungeons you explore during main quests and side quests. Be sure to check every nook and cranny when you gain access to a new map to avoid missing out on money and loot in the game.
Do side quests.
Clearing side quests are among the best ways to earn money as they often reward you with hefty sums of gold. Some optional quests also give you access to new areas with chests that contain even more money and items, making it even more rewarding to do them.
Sell unwanted items.
You can also sell off any unwanted gear or loot at shops for money. Certain enemies may also drop high-value loot that can be offloaded for a lot of gold so farming them may allow you to accumulate money faster.
Tips for Farming Money
Farm the Gold Dragon in The Mine Assaulted side quest.
A good way to earn money fast is to farm the Gold Dragon that appears during the quest The Mine Assaulted once you have reached ER 14. This quest can be started by talking to the man standing outside the Depository in Aurefont, speaking with the police at Melivr Station, or simply entering the Aurefront Mine.
The quest simply requires you to take out 10 monsters and rescuing the miners inside. To farm gold, just enter the mine and look for the Gold Dragon and take it out (do not clear the objective). Upon defeat, the Gold Dragon will drop Pure Gold which can be sold for at least 1000 Gold. Note that the Gold Dragon is considerably stronger than most monsters you have encountered thus far so only attempt it if you have a strong party.
Once you have defeated the Gold Dragon, exit Aurefront (the town itself). Then, re-enter and head for the mine again. If done correctly, the Gold Dragon should have respawned along with other monsters you defeated before. Take it down again to keep getting Pure Gold that you can sell off again.
