Boss Troll Moveset and Attack Patterns
The Boss Troll presents a challenging battle, as it takes action twice each turn. It also has high attack power and is capable of casting Kasap, a spell that can lower defense. Additionally, the Boss Troll has a high chance of landing critical hits.
Moveset | |
---|---|
Normal Attack | A standard single-target physical attack. |
Critical Hit | Ignores defense and deals approximately 180 damage. |
Kasap | Has a chance to lower the defense of a group of enemies. |
How to Beat Boss Troll
Boost the attack power of your damage dealers.
Since the Boss Troll has high HP, it can be tough to simply trade blows without being overpowered. Use Sap or Oomph (attack-boosting spells) to increase your party’s damage output and deal more damage.
Counter the boss’ Kasap spell.
The Boss Troll will always act twice per turn, often halving your defense with Kasap. You can try stopping its spells with Fizzle or Staff of Antimagic, but the success rate is quite low. Using Kabuff (a defense-raising spell) to cancel out its effects is a more reliable strategy.
Recommended Party Setup
A standard party with a Hero, Warrior, Priest, and Mage. Even if defense is lowered by Kasap, the Mage can use Kabuff to counter it.
Character | Role |
---|---|
Hero | Primarily a physical attacker. If the Priest alone can’t keep up with healing, the Hero can help out. |
Warrior | Main damage dealer. Use Oomph to deal higher damage. |
Priest | Focuses on healing, as the enemy’s attacks are powerful. Cast Sap when possible. |
Mage | Responsible for restoring defense with Kabuff when the boss’ Kasap lands on your party. Heal low-HP party members to avoid getting knocked out by critical hits. |
