King Hydra Moveset and Attack Patterns
The King Hydra can always take action twice per turn. But it only uses Normal Attack and Blazing Fire, and it’s easy to prepare for.
Moveset | |
---|---|
Normal Attack | A standard single-target physical attack. |
Blazing Fire | Deals around 30–50 damage to all targets |
How to Beat King Hydra
Conserve MP using the Sage’s Stone.
The King Hydra is the first of three mid-boss battles in Zoma’s Citadel, so conserving MP is wise for the battles ahead. With only normal attacks and a weak fire breath, you can get through this battle without heavy MP usage. When hit by Blazing Fire, use the Sage’s Stone to heal the entire party.
Use Kabuff if needed.
If the damage from the boss is giving you a problem, cast Kabuff (defense buff) a couple of times. With one or two uses of Kabuff, you should be able to comfortably withstand the attacks, using only the Sage’s Stone for recovery to secure an easy victory.
Recommended Party Setup
This boss battle is not that challenging, and any party setup will most likely work.
