Robbin’ ‘Ood (2nd Battle) Moveset and Attack Patterns
Robbin’ ‘Ood retains his two main attacks: Normal Attack and Critical Strike.
Moveset | |
---|---|
Normal Attack | A standard single-target physical attack. |
Critical Strike | Ignores defense and deals around 100 damage. |
Robbin”Ood’s minions (Robbin’ ‘Oodlums) now have two new abilities: Kasap and Midheal.
Moveset | |
---|---|
Normal Attack | A standard single-target physical attack. |
Kasap | Lowers the defense of the target. It can weaken your party’s durability. |
Midheal | Heals an ally for approximately 85 HP. This can prolong the battle if left unchecked. |
How to Beat Robbin’ ‘Ood (2nd Battle)
Eliminate the Robbin’ ‘Oodlums first.
Like the first encounter, it’s advisable to focus on the Robbin’ ‘Oodlums first. They pose more of a challenge this time around due to their Kasap and Midheal abilities. Swiftly defeating them will stop them from reducing your party’s defense and restoring Robbin’ ‘Ood’s health. Their HP isn’t particularly high, so concentrate your attacks on them to remove them from the battle quickly.
Boost your party’s Defense using the Kabuff.
Once the Robbin’ ‘Oodlums have been defeated, Robbin’ ‘Ood’s sole remaining attacks are physical. This makes the use of Kabuff extremely effective. While Kabuff does not guard against critical hits, it does lessen the damage from standard attacks, thereby reducing the overall damage taken during the fight.
Use Sap to lower the boss’ Defense.
Robbin’ ‘Ood is still vulnerable to Sap, allowing you to lower his defense and maximize damage per hit. Aim to keep Sap active to make the fight shorter and less risky.
Watch out for the Kasap and keep your party’s HP healthy.
If the Robbin’ ‘Oodlums’ Kasap spell reduces your party’s defense, counter it by recasting Kabuff. Keep an eye on your HP since Robbin’ ‘Ood’s critical hits can inflict significant damage even with defensive buffs in place.
Recommended Party Setup
The classic setup of Hero, Warrior, Priest, and Mage works well for this battle. Here’s each character’s recommended role:
Character | Role |
---|---|
Hero | Main physical attacker. Use Heal to assist with healing if the priest is unable to keep up. |
Warrior | Primary damage dealer. Focus on attacking, and leave the healing to the Hero and Priest. |
Priest | Keep casting Sap on the boss to gain an advantage, then focus on keeping party members healed. |
Mage | Kabuff is crucial for mitigating damage. After the boss’ minions are down, switch to offensive spells to contribute to damage. |
