Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Promontory Passage Map Guide: Obtainable Items and Locations
Just follow the linear path.
Promontory Passage is part of a dungeon that connects to Dreamer’s Tower. There are three treasure chests you will come across along the way so make sure you open them.
If you took the shortcut from the forest south of Reeve, head left to reach Promontory Passage.
You can reach Promontory Passage by going left at the fork in the road (where it splits into two paths) at the end of the forest shortcut south of Reeve.
Note that you can easily travel back to Aliahan from the shortcut after obtaining the ‘Thief’s Key.
Dreamer’s Tower
| 1 | Proceed through Dreamer’s Tower until you reach the 4th floor. |

| 2 | Talk to the old man on the top floor. ➥ Get the Thief Key. ➥ Get The Girls Own Annual (Tomboy Personality) from the bookshelf. |
| 3 | Jump down from the top floor. |
| 4 | Go down to the first basement floor using the stairs located to the far south of the first floor. |
| 5 | Once you reach the first basement floor, go straight north. Then turn east at the end of the path that lets you head back to Reeve. ➥ Before returning to Reeve, use the Thief Key to open the door below where a treasure chest is. |
| 6 | Once you are back in Reeve, use the Thief Key to open the red door. ➥ Get the Magic Orb from the old man. |
| 7 | Head southeast from Reeve. Then, go further east past the Shrine to reach the Path of Promise. |
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Dreamer’s Tower Map Guide: Obtainable Items and Locations
Feel free to return to Aliahan.
After obtaining the Thief Key, you can return to Aliahan from the first basement floor of the Tower to continue exploring the areas you couldn’t access before.
Be careful of Batterfly.
Batterfly can be found in the Dreamer’s Tower. This enemy can cast Dazzle which causes your attacks to miss more. If you don’t think you can deal with this enemy yet, just run away.
Note that spells will not be affected by Dazzle’s debuff so can still take down Batterfly using magic.
