Asham Walkthrough

Recommended Level: 14
1 Explore Asham.
➥ Look for on information on Isis, Ortega’s whereabouts, and the Magic Key by talking to the people in Asham.
2 Go to Isis by traveling southwest from Asham.
3 As you enter the desert area and head south, you’ll find the Desert Shrine surrounded by poison swamps.
➥ At the Desert Shrine, you can obtain the he Girl’s Own Annual (Tomboy Personality) and a Mini Medal.

Explore Asham at night.

Asham is different during the day and night. Be sure to take the time exploring the town to access more services that are not available before dark.

The equipment shop, for instance, only opens at night in Asham. There is also a belly dance show at the theater to the southwest that allows you to view a Powderpuff scene.

It is not recommended to haggle at the shops.

There are various shops in Asham that let you haggle the price of weapons and items on sale by simply answering “No.” You can negotiate until you lower the prices in your favor, though the goods often still go for relatively higher than those sold at other towns. Because of this, try not to haggle while you are in Asham.

Isis Walkthrough

Recommended Level: 15
1 When you arrive in Isis, head to Isis Castle which can be which can be accessed from the town.
2 When you reach the floor where the Queen is located, a child will be singing a song.
➥ Be sure to remember the song that the child is singing.
3 Gather information and explore Isis (town) and Isis Castle.
➥ Get Fail is a Four-Letter Word (Sore Loser Personality) from the bookshelf in the lower right section of the first floor of Isis Castle.
4 To get the Magic Key, leave Isis and head north to the Pyramid.

Remember the child’s song.

On the same floor as the Queen in Isis Castle is a child singing a song during the day.

You will need to remember this song when you reach the Pyramid so take note of it before leaving the castle.

Move along the castle walls from the entrance of Isis Castle to reach the treasure room.

You can reach the Isis Castle treasure room if you move along the castle walls immediately from the entrance of the castle.

The treasure room contains the powerful accessory Meteorite Bracer which increases agility and defense. Be sure to get this before tackling the Pyramid.

Pyramid (Part 1)

Recommended Level: 16
1 This section of the Pyramid walkthrough covers the 1st and 2nd floors.
2 Use the map to help you find your way through the dungeon while avoiding the trapdoors and man-eating boxes. You can also pick up the Golden Claws by heading to the secret staircase on the 1st basement floor.

Falling through the trapdoor on the 1st floor takes you to the 1st basement floor.

You will not be able to use spells in the 1st basement floor so try to avoid stepping on the trapdoors.

Hidden staircase in the upper left area of the 1st basement floor.

There is a hidden staircase path to the upper left corner of the 1st basement floor that leads to the 2nd basement floor. After getting the Magic Key, you can grab the Golden Claws found here.

After getting the Golden Claws, enemies will start to appear more frequently.

Be sure to stock up on healing items or even gain a few levels before tackling the pyramid as you won’t be able to use spells in the basement levels of the dungeon.

Discard the Golden Claws if you do not think you can make it back with it.

You can simply drop the Golden Claws if you don’t think you can handle the increased likelihood of enemies appearing in the dungeon. A message will appear that you may not be able to retrieve it, though this is false. You can simply return to where you got it to pick it up again.

Pyramid (Part 2)

Recommended Level: 16
1 This section of the Pyramid walkthrough covers the 3rd and top floors.
2 Head to the main central door and press the switches based on the song the girl at Isis was singing in this order: rightmost > leftmost.
3 On the 3rd floor, head into the next room to find the Magic Key. This key lets you open various doors throughout the game so it is important that you get it now.
4 Head to the 4th floor after getting the Magic Key and proceed to the top floor of the dungeon. There are a few items you can grab here so be sure to explore the floors carefully.
5 Drop down from the top of the Pyramid from the right side to the exit. There is a Mini Medal you can pick up in the corner before leaving as well.
6 After leaving the Pyramid, go west of Romaria to find a checkpoint. Use the Magic Key to unlock the gate, allowing you to continue with the main story.

Press the switches on the 3rd floor of the Pyramid in correct order.

The correct sequence of the switches is different across different versions so be sure to note the song you heard the girl singing in Isis.

Get ready to battle enemies when you open treasure chests on the 4th floor of the Pyramid.

You can try using Poof to take out the enemies that appear on the 4th floor of the Pyramid quickly. This, however, comes at the consequence of not letting you gain EXP. If you want to take out the monsters normally, be sure to stock up on items beforehand.
