Post-game boss
Xenlon appears in the secret dungeon after defeating the final boss, Zoma. Shinryu is extremely powerful, but defeating him within 35 turns grants the player a wish.
Xenlon Moveset and Attack Patterns
Xenlon acts randomly with 1–2 actions per turn. Sometimes, he may take consecutive double turns, so it’s best to keep HP high as a precaution.
Moveset | |
---|---|
Normal Attack | A standard single-target physical attack. |
Body Slam | Deals damage to the whole party similar to a normal attack |
Bite | Deals damage to a single target |
Kaboom | Deals about 60–80 damage to all party members |
Freezing Blizzard | Deals heavy damage to all party members |
Fiery Inferno | Deals heavy fire damage to all party members |
Hypnotic Gaze | Puts a single character to sleep with 100% accuracy |
Disruptive Wave | Cancels all active buffs on allies |
How to Beat Xenlon
Watch out for Breath attacks.
Xenlon’s Freezing Blizzard and Fiery Inferno are extremely powerful breath attacks. Equip armor with breath resistance and use Insulatle to mitigate the damage.
Keep your party’s HP high at all times.
Xenlon relies heavily on multi-target attacks, so maintaining high HP is crucial in this battle. You should have two Sage’s Stones by this point, so distribute them to two of your characters and use them each turn to maintain a high HP.
Kafrizzle is effective against the boss.
Shinryu lacks resistance to offensive spells, making magical attacks a viable option. Kafrizzle is particularly effective, dealing nearly 200 damage. If Disruptive Wave keeps dispelling your Oomph, consider focusing on spell-based attacks for consistent damage without having to reapply buffs.
