Use the Sphere of Light to weaken Zoma.

The final boss, Zoma, is cloaked in a dark aura, making him nearly invincible. To engage him in a fair fight, use the Sphere of Light obtained from the Dragon Queen to weaken him. The real battle begins after using the Sphere of Light.

Zoma Moveset and Attack Patterns

Zoma is a tough opponent who always acts twice per turn. After using the Sphere of Light, he randomly alternates between powerful moves like Kacrackle and Freezing Blizzard.

Moveset
Normal Attack A standard single-target physical attack.
Freezing Blizzard Heavy damage to all targets
Kacrackle Deals around 50–60 damage to all targets
Bounce Reflects all spells aimed at Zoma
Disruptive Wave Dispels all buffs on the targets

How to Beat Zoma

Keep using the Sphere of Light.

The main strategy is to rely on and always use the Sphere of Light. While it’s technically possible to defeat Zoma with the dark aura intact, using the Light Orb makes the fight easier. If you want more challenge, you can choose not to use the Sphere of Light.

Use Insulatle to reduce the boss’ damage.

Zoma’s Freezing Blizzard inflicts over 100 damage to all allies, so casting Insulatle is a must to reduce the damage you might take. Keep the Insulatle active as much as possible, and if the Disruptive Wave cancels it, reapply it immediately.

Use Sage’s Stones to heal the entire party.

Zoma’s powerful multi-target attacks, including Freezing Blizzard and Kacrackle, may force you to heal everyone in your party. Sage’s Stone, found in Zoma’s castle, will be able to heal your party and, at the same time, conserve your MP.

Apply Attack boosting spells.

The final boss, Zoma, has exceptionally high HP, so increasing your damage output is crucial in the battle. Use Oomph (to boost attack) and Sap (to reduce Zoma’s defense) to maximize your damage output. Since Disruptive Wave often nullifies buffs, be ready to reapply them frequently to maintain high damage.
