Void Assault (Cost: 100 Mana, Cooldown: 100/90/80)Each rank allows Kha’Zix to evolve one of his abilities, giving it a unique additional effect. When activated, Kha’Zix becomes Invisible, triggering Unseen Threat and increasing Movement Speed. If he chooses to Evolve Adaptive Cloaking, while out of combat Kha’Zix also passively gains Void Assault upon entering a new brush. Passive: Ranking up Void Assault allows Kha’Zix to evolve one of his abilities. Active: Kha’Zix becomes Invisible for 1.25 seconds and activates Unseen Threat. While Invisible, he gains 40% movement speed and ignores unit collision. Void Assault can be cast a second time within 10 seconds. Evolved Adaptive Cloaking: While out of combat, Kha’Zix also passively gains Void Assault for 2.5 seconds in brush. Strategy
- Capitalize on the Isolated passive by ganking solo laners like top or mid in the early game. Counter-jungling can also be a good option especially if the enemy jungler has a weak early game.
- (E) Leap and (R) Void Assault are good skills for surprising enemies and even disengaging in a fight. Never waste these skills as it can be crucial in team fights and escapes.
- Analyze what you need in the game when evolving one of your skills. Evolved skills like (E) Leap and (Q) Taste their Fear are usually the better ones if you are just starting playing Kha’Zix.
- Never engage first in a teamfight unless you are sure that you can kill someone since he is a squishy champion. Always try to enter from behind when the team fight has started and focus on their carries first.

Ninja Tabi/Mercury’s Treads – Pick one of these boots depending on the enemy team’s composition. If they are composed of magic damage and crowd controls, the best pick would be Mercury’s Treads. If the enemy has a lot of attack damage, pick Ninja Tabi.

The Black Cleaver – The Black Cleaver allows you to become a one-hit assassin god with the stats it provide. The item also makes you a tank killer because of the armor shred. Also, the movement speed buff when you hit an enemy is very vital when chasing enemies or getting away from them.
Guardian Angel – Kha’Zix is an assassin that deals a lot of damage against squishy champions. However, he is also a very squishy champion if caught in team fights. A good way to make up for his squishiness is Guardian Angel which revives him in case he dies. He will now have the option to either outdamage the enemy or leap away from the battlefield.
Youmuu’s Ghostblade – Youmuu’s Ghostblade increases the out-of-combat movement speed of Kha’Zix while increasing his attack damage, lethality, and cooldown reduction. This item is always a must for a typical assassin build.

Maw of Malmortius – Get this item if the enemy has a lot of AP bursty champions that can isolate and shot you. This item also grants attack damage and magic resistance which can help you deal with the AP threat of the enemy team.
Ravenous Hydra – Ravenous Hydra increases your wave clear while also granting you more damage and lifesteal. The active can also be a follow-up to your combo to increase the chances of one shotting your target.
Dead Man’s Plate – Dead Man’s Plate is a good item if you want to have more defensive stats. This item also gives you a movement speed increase at full stacks, letting you counter-jungle and gank better.
Lord Dominik’s Regards/Mortal Reminder – Lord Dominik’s Regards and Mortal Reminder are offensive items that are perfect against tanky compositions. Build Lord Dominik’s if the enemy stacked a lot of armor. If the enemy has many health
Spirit Visage – Spirit’s Visage can be an additional item if the enemy has a lot of magic resistance and want to regenerate more with your lifesteal items. This item adds more defensive stats to Kha’Zix compared to Maw of Malmortius which has more offensive capabilities.
Playing Against
- Be careful when you are alone in a lane because Kha’Zix deals more damage if you are nowhere near your allies. Always ward in the laning phase and avoid pushing aggressively if you are alone.
- Save your escapes and hard crowd controls when Kha’Zix enters a teamfight. Kha’zix has a low defensive stats and can easily be killed if stunned or bursted early before he uses his skills.
- If you are the support, it is vital that you never leave your ADC alone. Kha’Zix can easily kill a squishy if left alone.
- He is very vulnerable when (E) Leap and (R) Void Assault are on cooldown since this is his only engage and disengage tool.
Hard Counters
- Lee Sin – Lee Sin has the ability to catch Kha’Zix with Sonic Wave, catching him even though Kha’Zix used Void Assault or Leap. Tempest can also disrupt Unseen Threat, making Kha’Zix weaker in the process.
- Pantheon – Pantheon has the ability to disrupt Kha’Zix’s combo with Aegis of Zeonia and out damage him with Spear Shot and Heartseeker’s Strike. Pantheon is also strong against squishy targets because of his kit, making him a scary matchup.
- Warwick – Warwick also has a lot of disruption abilities that can stop his combo. Infinite Duress is a strong skill that can catch Kha’Zix even if he leaps away. Primal Howl can also reduce the damage of Kha’Zix and eventually make him flee for a second. Lastly, even if Kha’Zix manages to escape in a team fight, Warwick can hunt him with Blood Hunt.
