	Illumination Lux’s damaging spells charge the target with energy for 6 seconds. Lux’s next attack ignites the energy, dealing bonus magic damage (depending on Lux’s level) to the target.
	Light Binding (Target Range: 1175, Speed: 1200, Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana, Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11)ACTIVE: Fires a ball of light, rooting up to two enemies for 2 seconds and dealing 50/100/150/200/250 (+70% Ability Power) magic damage to each.
	Prismatic Barrier (Target Range: 1075, Speed: 1400, Cost: 60 Mana, Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10)ACTIVE: Throws Lux’s wand in target direction protecting her and all allied Champions it touches from 50/65/80/95/110 (+20% Ability Power) damage for 3 seconds.Upon reaching its destination it returns to Lux, protecting her and other allied Champions it touches from another 50/65/80/95/110 (+20% Ability Power) damage for 3 seconds.
	Lucent Singularity (Target Range: 1000, Effect Radius: 350, Speed: 1300, Cost: 70/85/100/115/130 Mana, Cooldown: 10)ACTIVE: Creates a zone that slows enemies by 25/30/35/40/45%. After 5 seconds the zone detonates dealing 60/105/150/195/240 (+60% Ability Power) magic damage.Activate again to detonate early.
	Final Spark (Target Range: 3340, Cost: 100 Mana, Cooldown: 80/65/50)ACTIVE: Fires a dazzling ray of light dealing 300/400/500 (+75% Ability Power) magic damage to all enemies in a line. Final Spark ignites and refreshes the Illumination debuff.

Strategy

Mid Lane

• While (E) Lucent Singularity is a good zoning skill, it can also be used for farming and wave clearing.
• Hit enemies with a basic attack after successfully casting a spell on them to proc your Illumination passive.
• A surefire way to kill your enemy matchup is the combo (E) Lucent Singularity + (Q) Light Binding + (R) Final Spark.
  
• (R) Final Spark can also be used in the start of a team fight since it has a relatively low cooldown and very long cast range.

Support

• you can refrain from letting the enemy ADC farm the creeps by placing your (E) Lucent Singularity at the front of the wave.
• It is your priority to use (W) Prasmatic Barrier all the time in a team fight before using your offensive spells.
• When playing as a Lux support, use (R) Final Spark to start a team fight and not in the end since you might get all the kills.

Morellonomicon – Getting this item for Lux enables her to whittle down her opponents in-lane and during clashes. It gives her good Ability Power and cooldown reduction stats which she needs to spam her skills. Furthermore, this item applies Grievous Wounds to enemies with low health, severely hindering their health regeneration. It also replenishes Lux’s mana whenever she gets a kill or assist.

Liandry’s Torment – Liandry’s Torment provides good bonus health, Ability Power and Magic Penetration. Moreover, Lux’s (Q) Light Binding and (E) Lucent Singularity also procs this item’s passive, further increasing her damage against opponents.

Rabadon’s Deathcap – This item greatly boosts Lux’s Ability Power, allowing her to deal massive damage on enemies and potentially one-shot squishies on the opposing team.

Sorcerer’s Shoes – Sorcerer’s Shoes gives good Magic Penetration. This empowers her damaging skills against enemies.

Void Staff – Buying this item further increases her damage, as Void Staff gives her more magic penetration and Ability Power.

Banshee’s Veil – Given that she has carry potential, she is a high priority target especially for crowd controls. Banshee’s Veil is agood defensive item for Lux, as it provides her with a spell shield that nullifies one enemy skill, so long as its active. Furthermore, it gives good Ability Power, cooldown reduction and magic resistance.

Situational Items
Zhonya’s Hourglass	Mejai’s Soulstealer

Zhonya’s Hourglass – Another good defensive item for Lux, Zhonya’s Hourglass gives her good bonus Ability Power and armor. Moreover, it gives her an active item skill that makes her invulnerable to enemy skills and disables.

Mejai’s Soulstealer – For players who play a more offensive-minded Lux, getting Mejai’s Soulstealer is a good option. This item gives her bonus Ability Power whenever she kills or gets an assist up to a cap, further increasing her damage output. However, if she gets killed, she loses most of her stacks.

Eye of the Oasis – This item gives Lux good lane presence and pressure, thanks to its innate cooldown reduction and its passive that lets Lux gain gold or a portion of her mana back whenever she picks up a coin. Moreover, it allows her to ward her lane, effectively securing and alerting her team for ganks.

Ardent Censer – Ardent Censer gives Lux’s (W) Prismatic Barrier an additional buff which gives allies she shields bonus attack speed and a flat lifesteal bonus on their auto attacks.  This proves useful in the laning phase and clashes where she shields and buffs her team.

Redemption – Redemption further solidifies Lux’s support role. It allows her to cast an area of effect heal in the battlefield that also deals damage to enemies hit. This is an essential item during the mid and late game phase, as a well-timed Redemption will turn the tide of battle to her team’s favor.

Locket of Iron Solari – Another staple support item, Locket of the Iron Solari gives Lux the ability to cast an area of effect shield on her allies close to her that mitigates damage for a short duration. Combined with Redemption and Ardent Censer, this item more or less protects her team during clashes.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity – A standard boots upgrade for supports, Ionian Boots of Lucidity increases cooldown reduction, something she needs as she tends to spam her skills often.

Morellonomicon – Rounding up her full build is Morellonomicon. Lux needs to replenish her mana constantly, as she spams her skills onto enemies. Having this item in her kit remedies her mana troubles, as every kill and assist replenishes some of her mana. Moreover, this item gives good cooldown reduction and Ability Power stats.

Banshee’s Veil – As stated in her Mid Lane build, Banshee’s Veil gives protection against mages and crowd control skills. It also has good Ability Power and cooldown reduction stats.

Zhonya’s Hourglass – Similar to her Mid Lane build, Zhonya’s Hourglass also provides protection by giving her an item skill that makes her invulnerable to enemy damage and skills for a short duration.

Athene’s Unholy Grail – Getting this item further resolves Lux’s mana problems. It also gives good Ability Power and Magic Resistance which helps her survivability a bit.

Void Staff – If you feel your team needs more damage, you can opt to get Void Staff to finish your item build. This gives her damaging skills more potency, thanks to its good magic penetration bonus.

Mejai’s Soulstealer – Similarly, since Support Lux should have many assists, getting Mejai’s Soulstealer is a good option. It gives her bonus Ability Power per kill and assist, which makes her skills even more dangerous.

Playing Against

• Don’t walk directly to her when trying to harass her because she can cast her full combo on you.
• Never go inside Lux’s (E) Lucent Singularity because it slows enemies caught within its area and Lux can position (Q) Light Binding and (R) Final Spark easier.
• Lux is vulnerable when her only hard crowd control (Q) Light Binding is on cooldown. Capitalize on her immediately if she was unable to hit you with (Q) Light Blinding. 
• Also, do not stand behind a minion who is about to die because Lux can time her (Q) Light Binding and catch you. Always try to move as much as possible.
• Be careful when you are recalling with low life because Lux’ (R) Final Spark has a long range and can kill you from afar.

Hard Counters

• Talon – Talon specializes in getting close to enemies and eliminating them with his burst AD skills. He is especially deadly against Lux, as she doesn’t have good escape mechanisms in the lane.
• Fizz – Similar to Talon, Fizz thrives in sniping down single target with his skills. Moreover, he is highly elusive and can evade Lux’s (Q) Light Binding and (E) Lucent Singularity with his Playful / Trickster.
• Kassadin – Kassadin is exceptional in dealing against mages. His kit is built to burst down mages who don’t have good escape mechanisms such as Lux. Furthermore, just like most assassins, Kassadin is highly mobile and can dodge most of Lux’s skills easily.
