Persona 5 Tactica’s PC version on Steam accidentally went live a week early
The PC version of Persona 5 Tactica (P5T) went live early for Steam PC users last November 8, 2023. This is about 9 days early before of official launch date and so fans who pre-ordered the game from the service was able to download and play the game.
Availability on Steam page immediately changed.
The early release mistake was corrected after 20 minutes. It was made inaccessible from the Steam store for a while by changing its release date from the page. Initially, the launch date was set back to December 31, 1969, and it was changed to November 17, 2023.
Only playable offline and will be suddenly closed when you connect to Steam online.
Players who pre-ordered the game via Steam was able to download and play the game in advance. However, they can only play it offline. If they connect their PCs to the internet, which connects them back to the Steam client, their game will be closed quickly.
Also, they will face some issues regarding the online features and version updates for the game if they only downloaded the base version of the game.
Early recording and streaming are discouraged.
Atlus strongly prohibits post a gameplay recording or livestream of their upcoming games such as the Persona series before their official release. For those who want to risk spoiling the Persona 5 Tactica, Atlus would most likely take action against your channel or platform.
It is encouraged to post or share content during the time that the game is already available in your region. Also, you should label your post or content with spoiler markers and reminders especially during the week or weekend of the launch date.
