The story begins just before the ending of the original game

The story of Persona 5T will take place right before the graduation ceremony. The story will take place from late February to early March, when the additional scenarios from Persona 5R have been completed.

The exact timing of the DLC is currently unknown. However, since Kasumi Yoshizawa is using Persona, it seems to be after October (after conquering Okumura Palace). At that time, a person who calls herself “Revolutionary Erina” saves them from their predicament and the Phantom Thieves accept her offer of “cooperating with the revolution”.
