Feed a Razz Berry a Pokemon you are trying to catch and it will be easier to catch on your next throw.

After reaching level 8, you will be granted with Razz Berries as a level up bonus. From that Point on, you will be able to obtain Razz Berries from PokeStops. You will not have to use them at this stage, but as your trainer level gets higher these Razz Berries will be a must.
You will only be able to use a Razz Berry after encountering a Pokemon. Since Pinsir is a rare Pokemon you would not want to miss this opportunity. This is where it comes into play. Tap the item icon on the bottom right-hand.
Tap the Razz Berry. Like said in the description, it will be easier to catch the Pokemon.
Once your trainer level gets higher, the chance of the pokemon running away from you will increase. There isn’t any problem with a low CP Pokemon but once the CP gets over 200 or 300, ore the color of the circle changes to yellow or orange, it will be very difficult to catch a Pokemon without Razz Berries.
You can’t use Razz Berries multiple times at once, but once it comes out from a ball, you will have to use a Razz Berry again. If you can’t catch a Pokemon with a Razz Berry, try using a better ball such as a Great Ball. Catching Pokemons were easy at first, but as your trainer level gets higher you will have to devise more often.
