Top 10 Pokemons You Should Power Up

Dragonite

A rare Dragon type Pokemon. Since the Pokemons that show up in Pokemon GO are GEN ⅠPokemons, there’s only a few Fairy and Steel type Pokemons. Therefore, you will most likely have the advantage during the battle unless the opponent is an Ice type Pokemon. Also due to the fact that a Dragonite has a very high CP, it’s strength alone is top class. Recommended move for move 1 is Dragon Breath, and move 2 is Dragon Claw.

Snorlax

Despite the fact that it has a high HP and CP, the only type which can get a super effective against it is a Fightning Type because the Snorlax is a Noraml type. Move 1 should be Zen Headbutt and move 2 should be Body Slam. These 2 moves have a very high DPS and can be deadly for your foe. Although Body Slam has been nurfed in a previous update, it’s still very powerful because the types match for Snorlax.

Vaporeon

Since Eevee can be easily found, and that it requires little candy to evolve them, the Vaporeon can be your main weapon from the beginning. As for it’s stats, both CP and HP are above average, and that fact that it’s only a water type makes it very powerful. The fact that it can use the 2 high DPS moves, Water Gun and Hydro Pump with type match bonus makes Vaporeon one of the stongest Pokemons to choose from and can take on many Pokemons. It’s recommended to power up a Vaporeon that know these 2 moves.

Slowbro

Slowbro is resistant to Water type, and can use Psychic type moves which is a very powerful type for an attacker with the type match bouns. As for a Psychic type, Slowbro has a higher CP than a Alakazam. Althouth it won’t remember Hydro Pump, Psychic with a type match bonus still has a high DPS and can get a super effective against Poison and Fightning type.

Lapras

Has a high CP, and is the most powerful Ice type Pokemon. Despite its superior stats, it can also use Ice type moves with a type match bonus, and is the best anti-Dragonite Pokemon. The recommended move for move 1 is Ice Shard which has high power, and Blizzard for move 2 due to its high power and DPS.

Venusar

It’s a Grass type Pokemon meaning it has an advantage over the Water type Pokemons which are seen commonly in gym battles, and has a high CP. Although it can learn Razor Leaf which is a high power move for move 1, Vine Whip is the prefered choice because of its high gauge increase, so it’s best you power up a Venusar that knows Vine Whip. As for move 2, Solar Beam is recommended due to its high power and DPS.

Charizard

Since Charizard is a Fire/Flying type Pokemon, the Flying type covers the weak spot of Fire types which are Ground types. Move 1 should be Ember or Wing Attack as they both get a type match bonus, but the Wing Attack has a higher DPS than Ember. Plus, at present, there aren’t many Steel type pokemon which are weak against Fire types, and Wing Attack is super effective against Grass and Bug type Pokemons, which are seen commonly at gyms. Move 2 should be Fire Blast due to its high power and DPS.

Blastoise

Like Vaporeon, Blastoise can learn Water Gun for move 1, and will get a type match bonus. For move 2, Blastoise will learn Hydro Pump which is a high ower move with a type match. Also it will learn Flash Cannon, which is one of the few Steel type moves, and Ice Beam which covers well with Water type.

Exeggutor

Since Exeggutor is a Grass/Psychic Pokemon, it will have an advantage over water types, plus it can use Phychic type moves which are powerful with a type match bonus. Its maximum CP is also very high. As for move 1, Confusion does have a high power, but it’s better if it knows Zen Headbutt because it has a higher DPS than Confusion. As for move 2, Solar Beam is the perfered move due to its high power and DPS.

Golem

Although Rock/Ground type both hs lot of weaknesses, they are great combination when it comes to attacking. It can learn Mud Shot, which has superior power and DPS with a type match bonus. If it knows Stone Edge for move 2, it will be able to counter Flying types.
