Assassin's Creed Origins - Character Profile: Aya of Assassins Creed

Aya of Assassins Creed is the wife of Bayek of Siwa in Assassins Creed Origins. As an agent of Queen Cleopatra, she served as an extension of her will.

Aya of Assassins Creed

Aya of Assassins Creed is a Greco-Egyptian agent that works for Queen Cleopatra. She is the wife of Bayek of Siwa who also taught her the ways of Medjay. Although her alliance with Queen Cleopatra strained the relationship between her and Bayek of Siwa, they eventually created the foundations of the Brotherhood of Assassins.

Unfortunately in the later games, she does not have a statue dedicated to her. As seen in the other installments of Assassin’s Creed, most of the statues commemorate the male masters such as Altair and Ezio. However, this may simply mean her contributions were not as big in comparison to Amunet.

Story

Born in Alexandria, Aya of Assassins Creed eventually then moved to the home town of Bayek. While in Siwa, she learned the ways of the Medjay. The more her skills improved, the more Cleopatra took note of them. When the queen took note of Aya’s skills, she then enlisted her to become her agent. However, this proved to strain the relationship between Bayek of Siwa and her.

Despite their opposing views, Aya still believed that Queen Cleopatra would be the best for Egypt. She saw that the Order of the Ancients had other plans. While it did involve the younger brother of Queen Cleopatra, she nevertheless carried out her duty even with Bayek of Siwa’s misgivings.

Skills

  • Trained in the ways of Medjay, Aya of Assassins Creed also has some martial prowess. She also has knowledge of weaponry such as the khopesh. However, she seems to favour more low profile kills rather than entering the fray herself.
  • Her stealth skills as an agent are highly sought after, considering she became an agent for Queen Cleopatra.
