The Journey
The Journey is the name of the story mode found in FIFA 17. In this mode, you will play as Alex Hunter, a young athletes who dreams to become a part of the Premier League and be the best among the best in football.
You will not be able to play your own created character in The Journey because the story only focuses on Alex Hunter. Although this could be seen as a negative aspect of FIFA 17’s story mode, adding Alex Hunter into the game can make the story much more compelling and focused rather than open and convoluted like the story modes of other sports video game where you control a user-created player.
The Beginning of The Journey
At the start of The Journey, you will be given a choice as to what club Alex Hunter will go to. There are 20 Premier League clubs to choose from, with some being better than the others. After choosing a club, you will need to complete a six-stage academy “exit trial” and once you complete, you will be sent to the club of your choice.
