God of War, the fourth installment in the series, gets another trailer at the Sony press conference at E3 2017.
God of War is Coming Early 2018
We got our first look at the game when it was shown at E3 2016. In this year’s conference, Sony treats its fans with another gorgeous trailer showing both combat and narrative sequences.
Though the game is not, by any means, an open world, developers say it will still allow a lot of exploration and discovery. Players can travel by land or by boat, as Kratos and his son Atreus journey through the snow-covered Nordic landscape. This time, developers created a bigger world for both players and characters to discover. Furthermore, a lot more focus will be given on the narrative in this game, especially the dynamic between father and son.
Nonetheless, players can still expect a lot of the fluid hack-and-slash action that the series is known for. The new trailer shows Kratos primarily using his axe in combat, but Atreus supports him in battle with his bow, as well. This allows for an even more dynamic kind of gameplay.
