Additionally, Ekko heals for 100/150/200 (+60% Ability Power), increased by 3% for each 1% of his health lost over the last 4 seconds.

Strategy

  • Ekko specializes in quick skirmishes, sticking to enemies and taking down high-priority targets. During the laning phase, try to hit as many enemy minions and the opposing laner with (Q) Timewinder to make it easier when you decide to engage or farm.
  • Ekko’s third auto attack will be empowered, thanks to Z-Drive Resonance (passive). Take note of this when you’re planning to engage your enemy laner.
  • Cast (W) Parallel Convergence on an area where it is likely the enemy will position himself  to maximize its slow.
  • Once the (W) Parallel Convergence has been cast, you can quickly dash in with (E) Phase Dive onto the area to stun opponents who are inside the sphere. This will open them to your (Q) Timewinder and let you auto attack, proc-ing your Z-Drive Resonance (passive) on your third hit.
  • Use (R) Chronobreak when you’re low on health to surprise enemies. It will restore Ekko’s health and also deals considerable damage on the last location where you were 4 seconds ago.

Playing Against

  • Ekko is an elusive champion. Coordinate with your teammates to lock him down and eliminate him during the laning phase or team fights.
  • Take note where he casts (W) Parallel Convergence – if you’re inside it, Ekko can (E) Phase Dive towards the sphere and stun you.
  • Avoid getting hit with (Q) Timewinder, as it will slow you, and he can take advantage with (E) Phase Dive onto you and deal significant damage.
  • Force Ekko to cast (R) Chronobreak before he intends to by having your team target him during clashes. This will hinder his damage output and potential to rally and get help from his teammates.

Hard Counter

  • LeBlanc – LeBlanc is a highly mobile champion who can dodge most of Ekko’s skills and deal massive burst magic damage. She can evade and engage with Distortion, then follow up with Ethereal Chains and Sigil of Malice to burst him down.
  • Diana – Diana plays similar to Ekko, as she needs to get close to enemies to burst them down. She can stand toe-to-toe with him thanks to Pale Cascade, then she can dish out damage with Crescent Blade and Lunar Rush. If he tries to get away, Diana can reel him back with Moonfall.
  • Heimerdinger – Heimerdinger thrives when he sets his H-28G Evolution Turrets in his lane. He can thwart Ekko’s initiates when Heimerdinger positions himself within his turrets’ striking range. Heimerdinger can then stun him with CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade and finish him off with Hextech Micro-Rockets.
