RNG Clobbered 2016 Worlds Runner-Up SSG
China’s Royal Never Give Up dominated both ends of the map after a disastrous game by Samsung Galaxy in less than 30 minutes.
SSG was not able to get a single kill in the game was it went 11-0 in the match. RNG Uzi also went ham in the game after getting a 6/0/4 with a triple kill at the 23rd minute mark. It was a slaughter the whole game as SSG also didn’t have a single gold lead at any point in the match, it was all over for them before it even started.
This surprised a lot of fans considering that SSG is considered to be a top team in Korea. Their massive defeat in the group stage day 3 against the hands of RNG could mean a lot of things, but the way RNG played their cards proved they might be a dark horse coming in the group stage.
Royal Never Give now has a 2-o record after the group stage day 3 while SSG got their first loss with a 1-1 record.
Cloud9 Silences Crowd Favorite EDward Gaming
EDward Gaming hits rock bottom at the group stage day 3 after losing another game to North America’s Cloud9 in a dominating fashion, 12-7.
EDG couldn’t find their rhythm all throughout the game, only getting two towers and one dragon compared to C9’s three dragon, two Baron Nashor, and a Rift Herald. They were also down by at least an average of 10k gold as the game went on.
The Chinese powerhouse tried to stall in the dying moments of the game as they tried to focus on C9 Sneaky with a Rakan Grand Entrance and The Quickness along with Jarvan’s IV Cataclysm. It wasn’t enough to kill him as Shen’s Stand United and Lulu’s Wild Growth protected Xayah from the burst damage and C9 managed to clean off the line up of EDG and eventually win them the game.
C9 finished the first week of the group stage day 3 with 2-1 while EDG is a cellar dweller at the group A bracket with 0-3.
