The League of Legends World Championship 2017 quarterfinals is right around the corner, and thousands of fans are excited to see who will come at the top. I will try to determine who will make it past the quarterfinals round in the upcoming days. It’s also worth noting that this is my own personal opinion. Here are the teams who I think will advance to the semi-finals round of the Worlds Quarterfinals

Worlds Quarterfinals Day 1 – Longzhu Gaming vs. Samsung Galaxy

Winner: Longzhu Gaming, 3-1

Longzhu Gaming is undoubtedly the team who has the biggest chance to win it all right now. They defeated SK Telecom T1 in the LCK summer playoffs, 3-1. Khan is a beast in the top lane who can also be debated as one of the best top laners in the tournament right now.

Samsung Galaxy is also a formidable team, but the synergy and aggressiveness of Longzhu is enough to demolish Samsung Galaxy in a best-of-five series.

Worlds Quarterfinals Day 2 – SK Telecom T1 vs. Misfits Gaming

While Misfits Gaming had a very inspiring run and defying all expectations in the group stage, facing the defending champions can be a very hard feat for them. Never rule out the SKT T1 Faker, who is considered to be one of the best mid laners in the world, and the rest of the gang to give this European team a hard time in all aspects.

SKT T1 won Worlds twice for a reason. Misfits Gaming is a very young team with no experience playing on the main stage. Hopefully, Misfits should learn a thing or two playing against one of the best if ever they want to grow as a more formidable team in the future.

Winner: SK Telecom T1, 3-0

Worlds Quarterfinals Day 3 – Royal Never Give Up T1 vs. Fnatic

This will be a classic as both ADC veterans Uzi and Rekkles will face off in the bot lane. While both teams are strong, Royal Never Give Up has the upper hand when it comes  to individual skill and team synergy. The Chinese powerhouse has Uzi, which already has two finals worlds appearance coming into the tournament.

Hopefully for Fnatic, they can draw inspiration from the team’s previous experience winning the summoner’s cup back at the Worlds Championship season 1. For now, it’s RNG who got this in the bag.

Winner: Royal Never Give Up, 3-1

Worlds Quarterfinals Day 4 – Team WE vs. Cloud9

Save the best for last. Cloud9 and Team WE, in my opinion, are the most equally-matched teams in the quarterfinals. I can’t wait to see the Condi and Contractz battle it out in the jungle. It may be a close game for both teams, but Cloud9 has a lot of experience playing in Worlds.

They didn’t miss any Worlds appearance ever since. Experience-wise, Cloud9 has a better chance of getting out the quarterfinals to face either Longzhu Gaming or Samsung Galaxy.

Winner: Cloud9, 3-2
