How to Get Planet Coins in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
What are Planet Coins?
Planet Coins are a type of special currency in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope used to purchase rare items from various Salesbot shops in the game. Among the things you can buy using Planet Coins are Planetary Keys, weapon skins, Star Potions, and Memories.
Ways to Get Planet Coins
Clear Side Quests
Planet Coins are rewarded for clearing side quests on each of the different worlds you visit during the main story. To earn as many Planet Coins as possible, check every nook and cranny on each planet to discover optional missions you can do.
Complete Planet Coin Challenges
You can also get a Planet Coin by completing various coin challenges found on the different worlds you explore throughout the game.
Look out for floating colored rings to begin a coin challenge which simply requires you to collect all colored coins within the area. After clearing the challenge, you will be rewarded with 1 Planet Coin in addition to a chest containing a hefty sum of Gold Coins.
What to Spend Planet Coins On
Prioritize getting Planet Keys and Star Potions.
It is highly recommended to use Planet Coins to buy Planet Keys from the Salesbot shop as these items will unlock special missions that often allow you to recruit new Sparks. Aside from Planet Keys, you can choose to purchase Star Potions to instantly raise the level of a Spark by 1.
Buying weapon skins or Memories should generally be last on your list as these do not have any major effect on gameplay or your overall performance during combat. Only spend Planet Coins for these items if you are aiming for 100% completion after unlocking all special missions and purchasing all Star Potions from the Salesbot shops.
Spending you LIMITED supply of coins on Star Potions is laughable. You can farm stars from enemies and level up your Sparks that way. Buying potions with them is 100% a waste when you’re getting 200+ stars per fight later in the game.
