Square Enix will be releasing a Nintendo Switch-exclusive game with no exact release date. The team behind the popular Nintendo 3DS game Bravely Default will be the ones who will handle the development of this brand new game.
Octopath Traveler is just a pending name for this new Switch game, although Square Enix may go for this title since they recently have a tendency to name a Nintendo RPG with a combination of weird words like “Bravely Default”.
They released a four-minute trailer that was shown in the most recent Nintendo Direct, detailing the gameplay mechanics of the game as well as some of its characters.

The game looks like a mix of old-school Final Fantasy and Saga Frontier/Valkyrie Profile. It also seems like it borrowed some mechanics from Bravely Default due to its complex battle system. The demo is already available at the Nintendo eShop, and Square Enix is also fishing for feedback in order to improve the game until its eventual launch.
