[Defense of The Ancients / DoTA2] TNC Can’t Close

This page contains an article discussing about what TNC lacked as a team and why they failed to win The International 2017 in DoTA2.

TNC Can’t Close

In the recent International held on Seattle, the Filipino team that have made a name for themselves in the previous International has come to prove their might once more. Having changed their previous roster with Tims and 1437 as the new support, they have already proved to be quite a force to be reckon with with as they have won the WESG 2016 and cementing their names in the pro scene. They are no longer underdogs finishing in the upper bracket of the international and heading off to face the Chinese Giants, LFY.

Strong Early

TNC excel in their aggressive play style and this has proven to be quite effective as they most often bag first blood and get the bounty runes of the enemy team. They are consistent with their aggression and keep the pressure on as they continually visit other lanes and pressure the enemy cores. They always try to counter-gank and always face enemies head on. TNC thrive in the bloodshed of the early minutes.

Solid Team Fights in Midgame

TNC holds their ground in the middle game as they try smoke ganks together with core objectives such as pushing lanes and destroying towers. They evolved into the kind of team that will box you inside your base and keep the pressure on as they widen their farming range and lengthen the gap.

Lackluster in Late

The only problem for TNC is that when the game drags on, professional teams always outshine them as they know what to do next and how to catch and punish their plays. They always get confused during teamfights as opposing enemies surprise them with ganks and outplaying them in the late game. TNC lacks a solid late game. They still lack coordination and discipline. They need a captain with experience on how to close games. Once they have that, they might just snatch the aegis on the next international.
