How to Speed Up the Pidgey Marathon

Evolving is one of the main ways to earn XP, and Pidgey marathon is the most efficient way to grind XP. Introducing how to quickly end the evolving cut scene and efficiently use a Happy Egg.

Evolving and Pidgey Marathon

In Pokemon GO, evolving a Pokemon will give you 500 XP. Therefore the main XP grinding method now is to evolve as much Pokemon as possible. Also, since using a Happy Egg will give you double XP for 30 minutes, most of the players try to evolve lots of Pokemons is a short spam. But the cut scene takes about 20 seconds and can’t be skipped. So if you have enough candy and base Pokemons to evolve, it might take more than 30 minutes if you watch all the evolving cut scene.

Speeding UP the Evolving Time

The only thing you have to do to reduce the time it takes to evolve is to just restart the app.
●Once you have pushed the evolved button, the Pokemon will be evolved.
●It takes more time to watch the evolving cut scene than to restart the app. (most of the time.)

▲Evolve your Pokemon.

▲Once you enter the evolving cut scene, restart the app.

▲After it finishes loading, the Pokemon will be evolved. And of course the XP will be added.

How Much Shorter Will it be?

On a iPhone 6 Plus / iOS 9.3.4, the time it takes per evolve was 70% of the original time it took. But since this method depends on how long it takes to restart the app, if will differ according to your network status and the type of terminal you own. Try this method with a good internet connection.

※It will be faster to scroll down the page by holding the scroll bar. If you are going to use the restart method, it is best to hold the scroll bar to reach your next Pokemon.
