World 3-1: Big Spiny Blitz

Congratulations, you now made it to Big Spiny Blitz! If you’re here, that means you survived World-2 without getting clobbered too badly! When running around in this stage, coins will literally rain from the sky. There are several portions in the stage that’ll have raining coins. However, getting these coins won’t be easy. Some of the platforms disappear whenever you hit a box. Enemies will patrol the area with all sorts of desert based obstacles.

Things to expect while running through Big Spiny Blitz:

1. Watch out for the disappearing platforms. The platforms in this stage are pretty fickle. Because of this, they have a tendency to disappear. While going through the jumping puzzle, watch where you jump. When you see a floating coin, that means that there might be a platform that leads to the next side.
2. Follow the coins. Whenever in doubt, follow the coins. The coins can form a pathway that will help you solve the puzzle. Some of these coins can only appear when triggered by a box. There are power-up boxes that reveal the location and pathway of the circles to show you where to go.
3. Watch out for the angry enemies. Like most Mario-based games, there are enemies strolling the area. These creatures often times come out from pipes or are strolling around. There are turtle shells with spikes, carnivorous man-eating plants, and other creatures.
4. Take note of patterns. Each jumping puzzle has a pattern. This puzzle is no different. Take note when the plants come out, watch how the creatures crawl around. Those kinds of things can save your life.
