2-4: Airship Cannons… Fire!

The last level of World 2 takes Mario across a fleet of airships manned by jump-happy Ninji while evading the occasional cannon fire from different directions. A boss will also be waiting for you near the end of the level so time to up your concentration on this one!

What to expect from Airship Cannons… Fire!

  1. It will rain cannonballs. Since the level takes plays high up in the clouds on a fleet of airships, it isn’t surprising to be greeted by a cloud of blackened steel. This is sure to require you to time your jumps and pull off different maneuvers while in the air so you don’ t hit.
  2. Ninjis. As if the cannonballs aren’t enough trouble already, Ninjis are scattered throughout the level and are quite pesky to deal with. They have their uses though, so jump over them to gain a little more altitude to reach higher areas.
  3. One angry Koopaling. A Koopaling will be waiting for you at the end of the level. He isn’t exactly hard to beat, but it never hurts to grab that mushroom in the mystery block just before the tunnel to the boss.
