Island Ordinances Guide in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
What are Island Ordinances?
Island Ordinances is a new feature in added in the last free update (version 2.0) of Animal Crossing: New Horizons that lets you enact island laws. Upon taking effect, all residents and shops will follow them, allowing you to manipulate individual schedules to your preference.
How to Set Island Ordinances
Talk to Isabelle at the Town Hall
To set Island Ordinances, you must update the game to version 2.0 (last update). Then, talk to Isabelle at the Town Hall to view ordinances that you can declare.
Can only be enacted by the Island Representative
Note that only the island representative (the player character that was created for the first time) can enact ordinances. Non-representative characters cannot access this feature.
