League of Legends - Champions List – God Tier List (Patch 7.19)

This post contains information about the current God Tier champions following the recently released patch 7.19 for League for Legends.

With the next pre-season looming, and the major overhauls it brings with it, Riot releases Patch 7.19, its last update before the long-awaited Runes and Masteries rework. Suffice to say, the developers are still busy with some champion tweaks and reworks, as well as item balancing, to ensure the gameplay remains competitive and dynamic.

Patch 7.19 sees the reworked Xin Zhao, as well as buffs from champions who previously lost their grip as high-priority champions in both Flex and Solo / Duo Queue. Let’s take a look at who are the latest God-Tier champions:

God Tier (Patch 7.19)

ROLE CHAMPION
TOP LANE Yasuo, Fiora, Darius, Cho’Gath
MID LANE Zed, Yasuo, Orianna, Kassadin, Vladimir
JUNGLE Sejuani, Kayn, Lee Sin
MARKSMAN Tristana, Vayne, Twitch
SUPPORT Janna, Lulu, Thresh

Biggest Winners

Janna

Janna, The Storm's Fury

If there is one of the biggest winners in the recent patches, it has to go to Janna. She’s one of the most banned champions in Ranked game, thanks in large part to her extremely safe and easy laning phase. Janna’s synergy with Ancient Coin is well-documented – most of her games see her shielding her ADC, picking up coins and casting Howling Gale or Zephyr on enemies. Oftentimes, this nets her assists which allows her to get her Ardent Censer quickly. In fact, most players often rush Ardent Censer on her than Sightstone to give her Eye of the Storm and Monsoon added Attack Speed boosts.

Lulu

Lulu, The Fae Sorceress

Lulu is another Support who is garnering a good following in Patch 7.19. She is often considered a viable support when team compositions consist of an ADC-centric / hyper-carry lineup in previous patches. But thanks to Ardent Censer’s tweak this patch, Lulu’s stock has increased significantly. Her shields also provide bonus Attack Speed thanks to Censer, and now her auto attacks with Pix scales hard as well. Whenever Janna is banned (which is the norm nowadays), getting Lulu is the next best thing for teams.

TOP LANE

Yasuo

Yasuo, The Unforgiven

Patch 7.19 has seen the tendency of players banning more Support champions because of the Ancient Coin + Ardent Censer combo proving too safe and strong to handle. As such, Yasuo has seen a bit of gameplay, though he is still considered a high-priority ban in most games. His impact in games is still a constant seesaw battle – in the right hands, he is capable of steamrolling the enemy; conversely, in the wrong hands, he is the weakest link in his team.

Fiora

Fiora, the Grand Duelist

The previous patch saw the Grand Duelist buffed to help her get a leg up in the Top Lane. In Patch 7.19, she is still as potent against the opposition and has great carry potential. However, as with most duelists, Fiora still needs to be used by highly skilled players to snowball and take over games.

Darius

Darius, the Hand of Noxus

Speaking of snowballing champions, Darius still remains a high-priority ban in Ranked Games, even in Patch 7.19. His Noxian Guillotine is ever the game-changer, and once he gets his core items, it takes a great deal of effort for teams to bring him down.

Cho’Gath

Cho'Gath, the Terror of the Void

Cho’Gath has been one the recently reworked champions who has seen a resurgence in Season 7. This is in large part due to the addition and tweaking of crucial items, namely Gargoyle Stoneplate, Righteous Glory and Warmog’s Armor, that immensely helped him come back to prominence as one of the better tank-initiators and objective-securers in today’s meta game.

MID LANE

Zed

Zed, The Master of Shadows

Zed has always been a threat in Mid Lane. He’s considered to be a polarizing champion, mainly because his high learning curve and is reliance on a player’s understanding and mastery of his kit. That said, Zed is another high-priority ban in Ranked due to his volatile nature – either an enemy gets him and steamrolls the game, or your teammate picks Zed and gets owned pretty hard, costing you the game.

Orianna

Orianna, The Lady of Clockwork

Orianna has seen some love from the developers in Patch 7.19. Her Command: Attack’s missile speed was increased, allowing her skill to have a higher chance of hitting enemies. Add this to her already propensity to make great plays in the hands of good players makes Orianna a strong pick in the Mid Lane.

Kassadin

Kassadin, The Void Walker

Continuing with the Assassins in Mid Lane, we have Kassadin. Another champion who is reliant on player’s know-how, he also has the potential of carrying games thanks to his high burst damage. Just like Zed, Kassadin is hard to master, but in the hands of a good player, his kill pressure is something the opposing team should respect.

Vladimir

Vladimir, The Crimson Reaper

Vladimir is one breakout Mid Laner who’s been seeing some surprising playtime in this patch. He plays a more sustained lane, and his ultimate more or less swings the tide of team fights to his team’s favor, provided he manages to hit the intended targets. He’s somewhat tricky to master, however, but his kit proves to be essential for those long, drawn-out games.

JUNGLE

Sejuani

Sejuani, The Winter's Wrath

Sejuani still reigns the Jungle in Patch 7.19. She provides good ganks and her Glacial Prison is essential during team fights. She also has a relatively quick jungle clear, and coupled with her tankiness, makes her an essential Jungler to get if she isn’t banned.

Kayn

Kayn, The Shadow Reaper

Since his release, Kayn has seen some success as one of the go-to Junglers in Season 7. Players have come to adapt their playstyle and incorporate his dual forms during the course of a match. For instance, if his team needs more damage, Kayn can go the Shadow Assassin route; if they need more crowd control and front line assistance, Kayn goes Darkin. This versatility makes Kayn a pick for most team compositions.

Lee Sin

Lee Sin, the Blind Monk

Rounding off the Junglers, we have the Blind Monk, Lee Sin. Even with all the nerfs he got from previous patches, he is still a high-level Jungler that is capable of making game-changing plays for his team, from Baron and Dragon steals to a well-placed Dragon’s Rage to the right target. But while his kit is versatile, his impact relies on the awareness and know-how of those who use him.

MARKSMAN

Tristana

Tristana, the Yordle Gunner

Tristana climbs her way up to the God Tier in this patch. She has a kit that fit in today’s meta game well, mixing good lane and turret pressure. She also holds her own against opposing ADCs once she gets her core items to go along with a safe laning phase.

Vayne

Vayne, The Night Hunter

Vayne is another ADC who got some tweaks in Patch 7.19. Her laning phase now is somewhat more manageable, but not too much that she becomes a must-get ADC. Just like in previous patches, she needs a good early to mid-game phase to get her core items and light up the highlight reel with outplays and multi-champion kills.

Twitch

Twitch, the Plague Rat

Capping off the ADCs is Twitch. He’s still one of the strongest hyper carries this season, and is showing no signs of slowing down even in Patch 7.19. Although he still has issues in the early laning phase, he just needs to farm for his items and get some quick kills in the mid game to let him transform into a formidable ADC capable of ambushing unwitting enemies and spewing death with his trusty crossbow.

SUPPORT

Thresh

Thresh, the Chain Warden

Finally, Thresh rounds out the God Tier List for Patch 7.19. Another skill-based champion, Thresh shines when it comes to making the right plays. His kit is well-rounded and gives his team good coverage in terms of crowd control, shields and other utility.
