Clockwork Windup (Effect Radius: 1125/1225/225)Orianna’s autoattack deals additional magic damage. This damage increases the more Orianna attacks the same target. |
|
Command Attack (Target Range: 825, Collision Radius: 175, Speed: 1400, Cost:30/35/40/45/50 Mana, Cooldown: 6/5.25/4.5/3.75/3)ACTIVE: Orianna commands her Ball to shoot toward a target location, dealing 60/90/120/150/180 (+50% Ability Power) magic damage to targets along the way. However, it deals 10% less damage for each unit it hits (Minimum 40%).Her Ball remains behind at the target location afterwards. |
|
|
Command Dissonance (Effect Radius: 250, Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 Mana, Cooldown: 9)ACTIVE: Orianna commands her Ball to release an electric pulse, dealing 60/105/150/195/240 (+70% Ability Power) magic damage to nearby enemies. The pulse leaves behind an energy field for 3 seconds, lowering enemy Movement Speed by 20/25/30/35/40% and increasing ally Movement Speed by 20/25/30/35/40% for 2 seconds. This effect diminishes over time. |
Command Protect (Target Range: 1100, Cost: 60 Mana, Cooldown: 9)PASSIVE: The Ball adds 10/15/20/25/30 Armor and Magic Resist to the allied champion it is attached to.ACTIVE: Orianna commands her Ball to travel to and attach onto an allied champion, shielding them for 4 seconds from the next 60/100/140/180/220 (+40% Ability Power) damage.Enemies the Ball passes through along the way are damaged for 75% of the shield value: 60/90/120/150/180 (+30% Ability Power). |
|
|
Command Shockwave (Effect Radius: 325, Cost: 100 Mana, Cooldown: 110/95/80)ACTIVE: Orianna commands her Ball to unleash a shockwave after a brief delay, dealing 150/225/300 (+70% Ability Power) magic damage to nearby enemies and flinging them into the air a set distance in the direction of the Ball. |
Strategy
- Try to hit as many enemies with your (Q) Command: Attack. It gives decent damage to all enemies it passes through – this also helps you farm in-lane to get your items.
- Orianna can also cast (Q) Command: Attack into brushes. This is extremely useful to lookout for potential ganks from the enemy junglers, or if the enemy laner has placed a ward.
- (Q) Command: Attack combos well with (W) Command: Dissonance. You can provide lane pressure and zoning by placing your ball behind the enemy minions, and when your opposing laner tries to move into the creeps, you can either cast your ball to hit him then cast (W) Command: Dissonance for good area-of-effect damage.
- You can also use (W) Command: Dissonance to boost your teammates’ movement speed, as long your ball is close to them. Conversely, enemies hit with (W) Command: Dissonance are slowed, leaving them open to further damage.
- Cast (E) Command: Protect on allied champions or yourself to shield against damage from the enemy team.
- You can cast (W) Command: Dissonance while your ball is attached to an allied champion to boost their movement speed and other nearby teammates.
- Use (E) Command: Protect on your team’s initiator to further increase the chances of him hitting the intended targets during clashes and skirmishes.
- Cast (R) Command: Shockwave after you’ve placed the ball onto the enemy team to clump them in place and deal massive damage.

Morellonomicon | Luden’s Echo | Sorcerer’s Shoes |
Morellonomicon – This item gives off stats that are essential for Orianna such as Mana, AP, and cooldown reduction. It also has a unique passive Grievous Wounds which makes her lethal when she catches you with her skills.
Luden’s Echo – Luden’s Echo grants her extra movement speed and ability power. Orianna really needs this item since she doesn’t have any form of mobility aside from (W) Command Dissonance. The items passive also allows her to have more AoE damage in her skills.
Sorcerer’s Shoes – This item increases your magic penetration. Always a good buy if you are a carry AP champion.

Rabadon’s Deathcap | Liandry’s Torment | Void Staff |
Rabadon’s Deathcap – Rabadon’s Deathcap further amplifies her AP damage. This item is always good for Orianna since she relies on magic damage, and this item gives her a lot of that.
Liandry’s Torment – Liandry’s Torment applies a magic damage-over-time effect that can somewhat be beneficial for Orianna.
Void Staff – Void Staff increases your magic penetration, negating some magic resistance items your enemies build.
Situational Items

Banshee’s Veil | Rylai’s Crystal Scepter | Mejai’s Soulstealer |
Banshee’s Veil – This item is good if the enemy team has a lot of hard crowd controls and initiators.
Rylai’s Crystal Scepter – This item makes you more of a utility AP than the damage dealer. This item may be a better choice if you are far behind and just want to put the spotlight on your allies.
Mejai’s Soulstealer – This is a risky item, but it really pays off if you manage to get maximum stacks. This item is also best if you build it early to get the stacks early.
Playing Against
- Avoid getting hit by Orianna’s ball, as it can deal massive damage, thanks to Orianna’s (Q) Command: Attack, (W) Command: Dissonance, and (R) Command: Shockwave.
- Do you best to distance yourselves when engaging a team fight against an enemy Orianna. She can disable and damage multiple enemies with a well-timed (Q) Command: Attack + (R) Command: Shockwave + (W) Command: Dissonance combo.
- Orianna is especially vulnerable when she doesn’t have the ball at the right location and once she has casted all her skills. Lure her into using her skills and once they are on cooldown, you can go all-in on her.
- Force Orianna cast (E) Command: Protect on herself instead of her allied teammate who needs it by prioritizing your damage on her first.
- Be sure that you can burst down Orianna when ganking, as her skills can quickly turn a gank to her and her team’s favor.
Hard Counter
- Ziggs – Ziggs’ easily outdamages Orianna in the laning phase. Since Orianna has no escape and mobility, Ziggs can easily land Bouncing Bomb and Mega Inferno Bomb. Hexplosive Minefield also slows and damages. Without a safe escape mechanic, Orianna will have a hard time even trading against Ziggs.
- Zed – Zed has the ability to go in and out of a fight swiftly because of his shadows. Orianna requires that her ball be on top of a champion, and she can’t do that on Zed because his kit allows him to teleport with his shadows around.
- LeBlanc – Leblanc is also another champion that is very mobile in the laning phase and in fights. Orianna will have a hard time landing her skills since Distortion makes Leblanc harder to catch with the ball.
