Echoing Flames (Per-Leg Cooldown: 30 / 25 / 20 / 15 / 10)
Urgot’s six legs each conceal a shotgun that covers an arc, together forming a full circle of cover around him. Each shotgun has one shell and an individual reload timer. The next basic attack in the direction of a loaded shotgun causes it to fire, dealing 40 – 100 (based on level)% AD (+ 4.5 / 5.25 / 6 / 7 / 8% of target’s maximum health) physical damage to all enemies hit within, up to 25 – 365 (based on level) against monsters. Echoing Flames deals 10% reduced damage to enemies recently damaged in the last 5 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. |
|
Corrosive Charge (Cost: 35/40/45/50/55 Mana, Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 sec)ACTIVE: Urgot launches a canister at the target location that explodes after a brief delay, dealing physical damage and slowing all enemies hit for 1 second. |
|
Purge (Cost: 45/50/60/65/70 Mana, Cooldown: 13/12/11/10/9 sec)PASSIVE: Urgot’s other abilities apply Purge to enemy champions for a few seconds.ACTIVE: Urgot shields himself and autonomously attacks the nearest enemy for the next 4 seconds, without interrupting his movement, prioritizing enemy champions marked for Purging.Urgot attacks with 3.0 attack speed but deals modified damage, with only 33.3% on-hit damage and cannot critically strike. Attacks deal a minimum of 50 damage against minions. While active, Urgot also gains 40% slow resistance and ghost versus non-champions but attacking reduces his base movement speed by 125 for 1 second. |
|
Disdain (Cost: 50 Mana, Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 sec)ACTIVE: After a brief delay, Urgot dashes in the target direction, dealing physical damage to all enemies in the way and knocking them aside.Urgot comes to a stop upon colliding with an enemy champion, stunning them for 0.75 seconds and flinging them over himself. |
|
Fear Beyond Death (Cost: 100 Mana, Cooldown: 120/95/70 sec )FIRST CAST: Urgot fires a chem-drill forward that impales the first enemy champion struck, dealing physical damage, leashing them for 3 seconds and slowing them by 0% – 75% (based on target’s missing health). If the target is below 25% of their maximum health, Fear Beyond Death can be re-activated, and automatically does so after 3 seconds if the target is within the threshold.SECOND CAST: Urgot begins channeling as he launches chains at the target, suppressing them on impact and reeling them in over X seconds, during which they are untargetable by other effects. The channel can only be interrupted by Urgot’s death. If the channel is successful, the target is executed and surrounding enemies are terrified for 1.5 seconds. |
Strategy
Check out our general top lane champion guide here.
- Move as much as possible and try to hit your passive Echoing Flames on minion waves and enemy champions.
- Focus your (Q) Corrosive Charge and (E) Disdain on carries, so that (W) Purge will prioritize that champion.
- Position yourself in a safe spot when casting (R) Fear Beyond Death. This skill will make you immobile, therefore, making you prone to enemy bursts and attacks.
- (R) Fear Beyond Death is best cast after a team fight where the enemies are already scattered. Casting it before a team fight wastes this skill since it needs a certain health threshold to execute an enemy.
- A good combo for Urgot would be (Q) Corrosive Charge + (E) Disdain + (W) Purge + (R) Fear Beyond Death.
- Cast you (R) Fear Beyond Death to dying enemies. Casting it very early might render it useless as it has a fairly short time before the ability expires. Cast it on squishy champions to get them

The Black Cleaver | Frozen Mallet | Boots of Swiftness |
The Black Cleaver – The Black Cleaver gives Urgot damage and health that scales well with his kit (W) Purge. Its passive also grants movement which can benefit Urgot when utlizing his passive.
Frozen Mallet – Frozen Mallet grants Urgot a slow to movement speed in his basic attacks. This item gives Urgot more steroids in the top lane with additional health and damage. On top of that, it will help Urgot manuever for his passive when hitting an enemy champion.
Boots of Swiftness – This item gives Urgot more mobility when using his (W) Purge and (E) Disdain. It also gives 25% resistance against slows, something he needs when positioning his auto-attacks with his legs.

The Black Cleaver | Frozen Mallet | Sterak’s Gage |
Death’s Dance | Dead Man’s Plate | Boots of Swiftness |
The best Urgot build for the top lane would be to combine defense and offense. Building him as a bruiser will make him more reliable in team fights as he can damage a lot of enemies
Sterak’s Gage – Sterak’s Gage can keep Urgot in team fights with Lifeline. It is a good item for him since it grants him extra attack damage and tankiness.
Death’s Dance – His passive is an area of effect damage that if paired with Death’s dance gives more lifesteal.
Dead Man’s Plate – Dead Man’s plate gives more armor, health, and additional movement speed.
Situational Items | ||
---|---|---|
Randuin’s Omen | Guardian Angel | Trinity Force |
Randuin’s Omen – Substitute this with Dead Man’s Plate if the enemy team has a lot of mobility.
Adaptive Helm – Adaptive Helm is a good item on Urgot when the enemy team has a lot of low cooldown casters. Maw of Malmoritus can also be an option if you want more damage.
Trinity Force – Get this when you are far ahead in the game. This gives you a lot of damage and cooldown.
Guardian Angel – Get this item for the passive, as it can really turn the tide of the game in the late game. Otherwise, building this item only for the damage and armor is not viable.
Playing Against
- Dodge his (Q) Corrosive Charge since it has a long casting time and only hits a small area. However, if Urgot manages to hit you with (Q) Corrosive Charge, back away as he can lock you with (W) Purge.
- Urgot thrives when he can proc his passive Echoing Flames. Limit his movement and zone him if possible.
- Be careful when facing Urgot as he has a hard crowd control that can flip you in his back and proc his empowered auto-attacks.
- Take note of the indicator on his leg in his passive. move away from that leg if it is green. If it’s orange, that means the leg is on cooldown and Urgot will auto-attack with less damage and no area-of-effect.
- Try to burst him when he uses his (R) Fear Beyond Death. Urgot is immobile during the cast time and it can only be broken if he is killed.
Hard Counters
Yasuo – Yasuo is a very nimble champion because he can dash around Urgot with Sweeping Blade. Wind Wall is also a very strong ability that can block Fear Beyond Death and Purge, disabling Urgot’s execution ultimate in the process.
Fiora – Fiora excels against immobile champions, and one of them is Urgot. Fiora can cast Riposte on Disdain, and once that happens Fiora can immediately cast Grand Challenge along with Bladework to decimate Urgot. He won’t have a chance as Urgot doesn’t have any disengage abilities aside from Disdain.
Gnar – Gnar is a long range champion that can kite Urgot especially with Hyper/Wallop that increases his movement speed and gives max health as magic damage every third attack. Urgot has no choice but to position himself away from Gnar as often as possible.
